Afro, I can pick a 2nd string better than that team. There is a huge gap between Spurs and that Fulham side.

My tactric are going to be nothign special from now on. I decided that the week I did crap ones and still beat Viva, which I think was disgusting !!

----------------------------------Ochoa---------------------------------
Naughton------------Coates-----------Dawson-----------Ziegler
---------------------Sandro----------------Martínez------------------
Lennon------------------------------------------------------------Bale
---------------------Gilardinho--------van Wolfswinkel------------

Before you start Lennon, Bale and Gilardinho have not started in the last 2/3 matches therefore they are not first 11.
Thats 2nd string would beat the Fulham team that lined up against me. Allbeit certian areas are not very strong but IMO 3-1 or 3-2 to that Spurs 2nd second team.

Spurs officially in talks with City about Adebayor.

Hopefully he'll move, and start playing and scoring goals again soon.

I agree Nick if you are going just on starting XIs

But as you know (and make such a noise about), we don't. It's about team AND tactics.

Your tactics had both CBs and WBs marking the wingers and noone picking up a decent striker.

I think the Fulham team is better than that second string Nick. But I voted you to lose against Stoke as your tactics were taking the mick. And this week I thought your tactics were to lazy, Fulham actually bothered to do theres. Marking Blackburn players?

And on reflection.

Romero > Ochoa
Debuchy = Naughton
Jansen < Ziegler
Marchena & Gamberini >= Dawson & Coates
Gago & Flamini > Sandro & Martinez
Donovan < Lennon
Jovetic = Bale
Klose & Defoe = Gilardinho & van Wolfswinkel

Not a lot in it IMO

The best RB in Ligue 1 last season and Kyle Naughton?
Romero > Ochoa
Debuchy >> Naughton
Jansen <= Ziegler
Marchena & Gamberini >= Dawson & Coates
Gago & Flamini > Sandro & Martinez
Donovan = Lennon
Jovetic < Bale

I was thinking of Walker, who I rate highly!

Plus I don't really consider Debuchy a true RB. He is more of a midfielder, who atm plays RB.

Duno about that

Jovetic = Bale
how does that work???? That says it all about this league. How can you rate a player who hasnt played for how long!! and especially equal to Bale. The guy has been out for a whole, WHOLE season. its just plain stupidty that you rate him equal.

As i said, from that week I decided my tactics would be half bothered.
Last friday I was more focused on doing my fantasy team and actually trying to win some monies, that took more priorty so I just copied and pasted my tactics, changed a word hear and there.

Before his injury, Jovetic was better than Bale for two seasons. Bale has had one good season. IMO there are doubts over both of them.

If Bale carries on his form into this season, then Bale > Jovetic. If Jovetic comes back with no effects from his injury then Jovetic > Bale. If both happen, then Jovetic = Bale again

And why does the fact he missed one season mean that I should consider him a worse player.

Many players have been out for a season and come back as good, whilst others have come back not as good. How do I know how it is going to effect him? All I can go on is what I have seen and I haven't seen anything that tells me he is now not as good because of his injury.

To 2 season before a horrific injury which sidlines you for the most recent season still makes you equal to someone who is actually player and playeying well. Laugh ok

why does the fact he missed one season mean that I should consider him a worse player. - well have you seen him play?? How can you rate someone that isnt playing?? Surely its difficult to rate a player if there not playing? Or do you just imagine them playing?

In that case Robin van P is better the David Villa. Even tho he only plays half a season his 5 months playing gamve a better overall whole season projection then what David Villa ACTUALLY DID playing a whole season

Bale was average at the end of last season.

Jovetic from the whole of 2010 > Bale from the whole of 2011.

Therefore, it all evens itself out which is why I put them the same.

But as you say, he has been injured for a season so he must now be crap.

Messi gets injured for a year and therefore he is worse than Bendtner. Is that how it works?

How does it even it out? Its the previous season. Bale made progress, Jovetic has made zero progress, zero anything infact as he cant/hasnt kick a ball.

If Messi got injured for a whole season I wouldnt instantly rate his as the best player in the world.
How would Mess wint the Ballon d'Or if he isnt playing. Oh wait Afro would award it him.

Im not saying Jovetic is crap. Im saying I dont rate him. I cant rate him on his past after such an injury, nothing says he will come back the same player with the same potencial.

I laugh if he finally starts making regualr apps this season and hes a massive flop.

Forget the Balon d'Or rubbish and rating Messi as the best player in the world, because that is twisting what is being said.

Simple question:

Would you rate Bendtner as better than Messi, if Messi was injured for a whole season?

Ask a resonable question. Them two players are very far apart.
Bale and Jovetic were not so far apart, both young and were held with high hopes.

Now about you answer this.

If Messi was injured for a whole season how would he win the Balon d'Or???

I don't know what has happened to Chamakh, his confidence has completely been shot. He started the season very well for us last year. Then since xmas we have not seen the same player, it is like the ghost of Chamakh is playing for us. Also we don't really whip the crosses in that he likes to get on the end of. Gervinho is a different kettle of fish, Chamakh was brought in to be backup to RVP. Gervinho has been brought in to be 1st team.

Lol not a word of Welsh Viva.

Chamakh
As I say, free player are free for a reason. Most of the time it because the club dont feel they should have a new contract eg Joe Cole.
Other situation is the player thinks hes too good/big for the club eg Chamakh, Nasri and then moves and flops.

True point on Masch and Tevez.

But plenty of good free transfer signings work out.

Steve McManaman did well for Real Madrid.

Nearly all Cardiff Citys signings this season have been free transfers and they have made a cracking start to the season.

Was Teddy Sheringham a free transfer for Utd? Can't remember.
