Dexter

Does anyone else watch this show? It's shown on FX brand new. I think it's the best show since The Sopranos and The Wire personally... It's slightly dark but it's of course going to be with the main character being a serial killer. Anyone else think this show is amazing. Just began making my way through season 5 now. If you haven't seen it I would recommend going down to your local Blockbusters and renting the first season.

Dexter is one of my favourite TV shows. I managed to get a hold of S06E01 today. Not sure how as it's not going to air until the 2nd of October.

i watched the 1st episode yesterday. Looks like to be a right belter. He has to content with religion, a serial killer and his protege who are on a gruesome killing spree...

Enjoyed the 1st episode.
Seemed a bit rushed though, all the stuff with deb should have been spread out through a few episodes.

Think the bad guy Koshka (if thats the right name) is quality in it, still think the season with Third Rock From The Sun guy was the best though.

Just watched the finale to Season 7 last night, and it was just a bit meh really.

- To be honest it ended exactly how I thought it would have to all the way through, with Deb having to make the decision between turning Dexter in or saving him by killing someone. I didn't expect it to be La Guerta, and that was an interesting twist with Deb not now being able to justify it by them being a criminal and Dexter breaking his "code". It did feel like a set up to Season 8 though, rather than a season in it's own right, though with the next season being the last one it is slightly justifiable and I'll definitely be tuning in!

Yeah, there is definitely an Season 8 and that is the last as far as I am aware.

Yeah, me too. It just felt like a set-up to the next season rather than being stand alone. Although I do have high hopes for the last season now it really should be quite hard to root for Dexter as the hero and the moral ambiguity has gone to some extent.

I was watching Dexter, finished s3 and have been thoroughly enjoying it, but I heard it's downhill from here and starts to get a bit repetitive... Any truth in that?

Season 4 is class. Best season for me. John Lithgow who plays the killer is unbelievable. Brilliant.
Season 6 is the only one that is really poor. The rest are very watchable.
