I do feel sorry for Halifax they were always on a hiding to nothing once RFL announced Widnes had been granted a license . Replacing 2 superleague clubs was never going to happen regardless of meeting the application or not .

I thought that with Nigel Wood as a former CEO at Halifax, that they would have had more knowledge of what was required to become a Super League club, sadly for them they didn't.
