ITV Player - Why the delay?

New Zealand v Tonga match is still not available to watch 4hours later. Thankfully, I have it recorded at home. But not everyone has the fascility to record their tv programming. Surely ITV can do better on something which is bound to be of high demand. I was looking forward to watching the first half on my lunch, but no such luck.

I'm thinking though that the delay is deliberate. The opening ceremony has been available to watch since 10am. I assume there is something to do with the contract forcing them to hold out for a while. Who knows how long we might have to wait to watch the matches we are unable to view live!

The highlights aren't on until 10 or 11 tonight too! Total shambles if you ask me!

I seem to remember waiting a day for Scrum V and 6 nations games on the iPlayer. Isn't that normal?

The ITVplayer site states that they aim to have programming available 30mins-2hours after it airs!
I would understand if it were Emmerdale, but come on, its the first match of the bloomin WORLD CUP!

S4C about to re-show the match in about 5 mins time if anyone can get that

Perhaps they are getting some decent commentators to replace the original commentary before they put it on!

The highlights are on there I have watched them, though I cant find the full match anywhere.

I can only guess that it is down to the actual broadcasting rights.

Strange the S4C website isnt working

It was re-shown on the S4C channel on tv Alyn, coverage has litereally just finished. Now on to Scrum V!
