The first of nine ATP World Tour Masters 1000 events, showcases the best men's and women's players.

The list should include most of the top players and could see some movement in the rankings.

It produced a surprise winner in 2010 in the form of Ivan Ljubicic who will be there to defend his title.

Juan Martin Del Potro currently ranked 166 will also be there having missed last years event through injury and will be out to impress and to continue climbing the rankings.

Novak Djokovic is chasing Roger Federer as is Andy Murray with Robin Soderling, results from either could see some changes depending on how they both perform.

*As I have recently joined I dont know if there will be articles covering the WTA side but this forum would be ideal for someone to take up the mantle (if this has not already being taken care off!).

Hi sportslover,

It's early days for this tennis forum ............we're just finding our feet at the moment...........you're most welcome to write an article on the WTA if you wish.

Thanks for starting this Indian Wells thread..........my tennis knowledge is very limited so I'm very grateful for anyone who would like to write articles.

The more articles we have the more discussion and new members it will generate Very Happy

Dont really follow WTA much so best if a more knowledgeable poster was to do these articles - there must be a few out there Wink

Thanks sportslover.

Hopefully a WTA follower, who sees this, will put pen to paper (or rather fingers to keyboard) and write something for us : )

I don't know if potential members know or not but unlike the existing 606 you can edit your post after it has been made, so any errors etc. can be altered.

Another good point is that if you write an article any postings that are made to it will trigger an e-mail which will be sent directly to you so as you can keep up to date with the relevant topic.

So any tennis fans out there please give 606v2 a try - I think you will enjoy it and with the proper moderation in place (unlike 606) it can be enjoyable for all.

Good post sportslover.

Yes.....there are so many advantages with v2 compared to existing 606.......I've been over there earlier plying our wares lol.

Two big advantages of this board compared to 606 is that it's open all hours and doesn't have the 3 minute rule.

A lot of 606 posters have gone over to MTL but it may not suit everyone.

I think that nearer the time of 606's closure you will find that a lot of the good posters that are left may come over here.

Also there is nothing to stop some of those from MTL being a member of both

Hiya Sportslover,

Welcome to the board thumbsup
I agree with you in that some are staying on 606 until the bitter end and will jump ship then.

Just following on from Solerina i truly believe V2 is better than 606. I joined on the first day it was set up and hardly ever post on 606 now.
Its a great community thats growing here and it would be a great help if you could mention this site your friends and members of the various forums you are a part of.

Look forward to more of your posts and comments here on V2 thumbsup

Thats what I said on 606, why not be a member of several forums and after a few months, stick with one or two you're comfortable with.

I beginning to like this site the more I investigate its inner workings, as it were.

Its also nice not to have antagonistic posters....didn't speak too soon I hope ! Rolling Eyes

Should be good, imagine Del Potro drawing a big name early on, mouthwatering prospect.

Rankings wise pretty sure that if Murray has a good couple of tournaments he'll overtake Soderling (given that he was rubbish here last year and Sod did reasonably well).

Looking forward to it!

At the risk of incurring yet MORE E-mails Chelsea I tend to hope
with you that Andy re-claims his rightful place as #4.

But my worry is that his wrist will never quite reach the
flexibility and strength that it once had !

Yummy, if you go into your profile and click the tab "Topic(s) being watched", you can select all or some of them on the right hand side and click "Stop watching the selected topics" button at the bottom of the list.

If you post on a new thread, then just click the "Stop watching this topic" button at the bottom right of the article's last post.

Its just a habit you need to get into.

Hi guys,

Here's the INDIAN WELLS website............I thought you might find it useful : )

I can't seem to find any details of TV coverage.......it doesn't look like bet 365 will be showing it but I might be wrong.

I'm sure I watched some of it last year but I can't remember where.

Could someone check this out for me please : )

Morning all!!

I think its a great idea about getting a 606v2 Group together on the ATP Picking Game. Rafan on our thread mentioned something about that last night, and as this is a new Tennis community and for a bit of fun between us, we should give it a go. Smile

Rafan would help I'm sure if you need any help, as we are all confirmed "pickers". It would be nice for this forum to have its own identity on there. Ok!
