Welcome to the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium, home of the Kochi Tuskers.

Form

KT - DLLL

RCB - LWWL

Pitch Conditions: The slower bowlers will be key on a pitch where the faster deliveries will sit up fairly nicely. Any medium pacers who can bowl cutters will be essential on this pitch. Batting will be hard to start with but once a batsmen gets adjusted to the pace of the pitch he should begin to find it easier.

Provisional team and tactics:
Kochi Tuskers:
1) V.V.S Laxman
2) Phillip Hughes O, U25
3) Parthiv Patel
4) Tanmay Srivastava U25
5) Brendon McCullum (W) O
6) Steve Smith O
7) Balachandra Akhil
8) Daniel Vettori O, (C)
9) Piyush Chawla U25
10) R.P.Singh U25
11) Muralitharan O

Toss: Bat First

Batting
Laxman gets a chance to anchor the innings at the top of the order, with Hughes given a licence to attack at the other end. McCullum could go in at 3 if there's an early wicket, otherwise he's saved to lead the slog at the end, backed up by Smith and Akhil

Bowling
A spin-heavy attack sees Vettori take the new ball with RP Singh. Akhil's medium pace provides seam backup in the 5th over and at the death, while Murali takes over from Vettori, with Chawla and Smith offering leg-spin options through the middle overs.

R.P.Singh - 3 overs (1,3,20)
Daniel Vettori - 4 overs (2,4,10,12)
Akhil - 2 overs (5,19)
Muralitharan - 4 overs (6,8,14,17)
Piyush Chawla - 4 overs (7,9,16,18)
Steve Smith - 3 overs (11,13,15)
