Has he lost it and the players trust respect etc?

I find it hard to believe if he has vecause a man of his stature and experience in the game should be able to command respect through his achievements and not just through coaching badges etc.

But after another gum shiled incident involving Moody it seems they are going out of their way to self implode and bring down the English team from within.

Manu aside, who is still a kid and a very good one at that, all the rest have been senior players who should know better.

One plus note I suppose and I totally agree with him, is what Ben Youngs said in an interview upon arrival back in the UK.

He said that its never reported how much time rugby players spend with fans chatting, signing autographs, socialising etc.

In my (far too many) years of playing and watching rugby I have been priviliged to meet many a top class world rugby star from all Nations and can count on one hand the number of 'up themselves' I have bet, unlike the round ball stars who seem to think they are above it all.

Unfortunately, the English players have now found out (much like Powell and Phillips) that good press doesn't sell papers.

I think its an inevitable consequence of this RWC that the English team will become more insular. That is a shame because the fans are the ones that lose out

As in most things in life there is a limit the key is knowing when and where to draw the line.

As for Martin Johnson his personality and aggressive manner would be ideal traits for a forward orientated captain but would have a completely opposite effect when it comes down to the managerial side of things.

Is,

For the likes of Tuliagi it will be a steep learning curve and realisation that rugby players now are more press worthy that they use to be.

For the likes of Tindal, Haskell and Moody etc then they should know better as they are senior members.
