V2 WCC Round 1 Group 15

Yesterday saw group 14 winner Crimson and runner up Jeff Hardy make the next round so please vote for the wrestler you rate the highest and the top two will progress to the next round!

I've gone for Bully Ray based on the past year. A bit like Mark Henry (but to a lesser extent) he has suprised me with showing there is something worth seeing from the old dog yet, when I thought he was past it.

No other reasons.

Agreed with Demon. I was inclined to go with the Pope but he hasnt dont very much this past year, where as Bully Ray has taken to his new gimmick well and plays it off decently.

For me it was a coin flip between Bully Ray and the Pope. I think both are excellent but I went for the Pope because I think that he has a lot more that he can give as well.

Pope has been involved in the most compelling moment in TV.

He was on the receiving end of the MuscleBuster through a pig.

Not sure about this one though.

Bully Ray has always been one of the most naturally gifted guys on the stick and it's one of the few decent things TNA have done in the past year to let him get more time with it.

The weakest group by a distance so far

I voted Bully Ray purely because he was involved in TLC. Cant think of another reason worthy to vote for anyone else.

@ gaffer just wait for tomorrow's if you thought today was weak! At least group 16 will be the last of round 1 with round 2 starting on Thursday.

Santino due to his excellent work over the last year. Including the tea with sheamus segment.

How was Jeff Jarrett the top seed?

I'd say Bully Ray over the course of a career is a bigger seed than Jarrett, I've still not voted, I don't want any of them through

I disagree gaffer, Jarrett has won world and midcard singles titles and main evented ppvs so he probably deserves to be seeded higher than Ray.

And Bully Ray/Bubba Ray/Brother Ray has been considered the best in his field in numerous Wrestling organisations all over the World

Jarrett has only ever been considered a legit main event guy in TNA, most people see his close friendship with Russo as the sole reason he was given a main event push in WCW

The reason I seeded jeff number one was down to fact that he has competed for every major wrestling organisation, won tittles, including world tittles and founded a wrestling company. I understand how this is a slightly contentious seeding however I felt IMO that he should be. Bully Ray sure is a tag team legend and has many great attributes which is why he is seeded 2nd.

It doesnt matter, the fact is he got the push and he's got the titles on his record. He's no slouch in ring, he worked the indies and Japan long before he joined the WWE and wrestled for AAA in Mexico. Technically he's a better wrestler than Bully Ray.

Infact, i've changed my vote to Jarrett.

I like Jarrett, I just don't rate him as a top seed, I don't know how we can seriously count 'titles on the record' because that takes us into kayfabe territory, I'd consider being the top man more important than being the champion, and only in TNA has Jarrett ever been the top man, that's mainly because it was his own company

Bubba was considered one half of the top men in his field in every organisation he worked in at certain points in time, that's why I'd consider him above Jarrett although I wouldn't have Bully Ray as a top seed either

I cant stand Jarrett, but i'm trying to judge my votes in this competition on three things - ability to talk, ability to draw and technical ability. For me, Jarrett beats Ray 2-1, with Ray being the better talker. For that reason i am happy to see Jarrett as the higher seed.

It's difficult to judge what parameters you should use, and which ones you should give a higher weighting to, to make your vote isn't it?

So far I've gone for debris, but on feedback I feel this might be an inappropriate measure.

Different note here, but do you think that Bully Ray would be a successful main event heel in the WWE now and do you guys expect to see him back there at some stage?

I can't see him as a main event heel in WWE, nor can I see him back in WWE at all. I don't think he's a good match to their product

He would cause more debris than he would clean up.

So for that reason ED is out...

He isn't well liked backstage in WWE, he is far to opinionated for them, they like D-Von though, if they ever went back it would be as a tag team though, it was never an option due to how out of shape both became but this past year both have dropped a ridiculous amount of timber, who knows

The defining factor is that Jarrett has more star power. He's a bigger name, he can hold his own in the ring against the very best, he's been involved in more high profile fueds at the top of the card, and overall is a better wrestler than Bully Ray. Therefore i cant argue with him being seeded number one.

I want to change my vote to him, but dont know how to!

Has Jeff Jarrett every really been involved in a bigger more high profile feud than the 18 month program The Dudley Boys had with E&C and the Hardy's through 1999 & 2000?
