Worst finishers

What do you think are the worst finishers past and present

I personally though the Worm was the most pointless exercise ever!

The cobra has to be up there. It serves it's purpose as a comedy bit, but for wrestlers to then have to lay down for the 3 count after it doesn't seem so realistic...

I also never got the leg drop from Hogan. He must have had something else up his sleeve.

I always thought it would be a much better move if Hogan (during the Hollywood Hogan days) came out with metal knee pads, or spikes on the underside of his leg. Just to make the move a bit more believable.

I've never got the spear as a finisher!

That is pretty much a barometer for things here. Some moves are about their impact while some (like the leg drop and People's Elbow) are about the crowd reaction. Really not a fan of Miz's SCF or the Killswitch/Unprettier for current moves.

Gts as punk misses more often than he hits.

Wasteland looks messy.

I always think the Cobra is a way of mocking Hogan for the finger poke of doom, Christians spears are woeful Goldberg made them look painful.

Peoples Elbow is a glorified elbow drop, never got sweet chin music, especially since Shelton Benjamin used it as a regular move.

Not big on the RKO anymore since Orton has to pound the mat before he hits it now. The playmaker/overdrive is another that looks poor and is just passed from wrestler to wrestler.

The Attitude Ajustment it looks as effective as a Diva's slam

Agreed the AA now is shocking, when Cena first did FUs they looked pretty painful and were an answer to the F5.

Starship pain looks good, but clearly hardly touches the opponent.

You don't like the Ruff Ryder!? I do actually think it looks pretty cool, and I can just about buy it as a finisher.

I agree with the Torture Rack from Ezekial to an extent, but it does suit his character to have that kind of finisher.

OK, Rhino and Goldberg but Edge and Christian shouldn't used it as a finisher

Never liked the Playmaker/Overdrive, it seems too difficult to set up and execute properly most of the time.

Not a fan of the SOS, every time I see Kofi do that it looks like he's DDTing himself.

Skull Crushing Finale looks horrible.

@ Giz you don't like sweet chin music??? Surly not! michaels performed that move to perfection and it always looked devastating! used to make me mark out every time he hit it, when I was younger!

I don't like:

The stroke/skull crushing finale-just looks bad
The angle slam- doesn't look like it hurts enough to be a finishing move
The pay off- a fishermans suplex is not a finisher
AA- basically a firemans carry.
619- just awfull, probably my worst! It just breaks down the barriers
between wrestling and a choreographed performance, why do people drop into the position for a 619 when fighting ray but it never happens in any other match??!!

Big Shows knockout punch has to be right up there, mainly due to the fact he punchs people about 50 times a match and has little lasting effect then randomly just hits them a lame looking punch and they are out for a week and a day. Stupid.

619 also stupid.

GTS looks like a good finisher but as somebody already said Punk misses too often.

On the flip side Im really taking a liking to Swaggers pump handle power bomb thing he has going on at the minute, seems to be using it with alot more force and aggression lately, especially the 1 recently to Evan Bourne

Edges spear was often nasty too!

Benoit/Dynamits diving headbutt mostly because Benoit used to roll around selling it for a bit after

Anyone who says the spear doesn't seem painful clearly hasn't taken a clean big hit in rugby league! Trust me...it hurts...a lot

Sweet Chin Music when done as a shock is one of the best going, the same with an RKO.
It's when it involves the crowd warm up such as the fists slamming the mat or the warming up of the band that it becomes cringeworthy.
The People's Elbow is for me one the worst going.

I quite like the scf if it is used as a finisher after a beat down, falling onto your dace from head height with a guys weight behind it would prob keep you down for 3.

The worst has to be the torture rack, just doesn't look painful at all.

i hate the pedigree. just seems so slow. not a fan of r truths or zigglers finishing moves either.

of ones that look impressive i thought the code-breaker was a good one

Petey Williams Canadian Destroyer is probably one of the best looking moves, but also the most unbelievable. You can't see him do it on someone the size of the Undertaker, especially as it is his opponent doing all the work to make the move happen.

I liked the Worm....never has breakdancing and wrestling came together in such harmony

lol to be fair Too cool werent a bad tag team much better than the too hot and too sexy thing they had before. especially with Rikishi with them, that why him running over stone cold made so sense as he was so babyface.

It is also very difficult to do with anyone of notable size. It is rather gymnastic like.....like a lift from Strictly Come Dancing lol
