SmackDown! Results - SPOILERS

- World Hvt. champion Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio was made official for WrestleMania 27 with their contract signing in the main event segment.

- Christian then made his Smackdown TV return to make the save for Edge during a post-contract brawl, which involved a lot of blood. Christian was advertised earlier in the show to make his official Smackdown return on next week's episode.

- The Undertaker made his Smackdown TV return after a four-month absence to reply to Triple H's promo on Monday's Raw. Taker vs. Hunter at WrestleMania is without a stipulation at this point with four weeks of TV remaining before the PPV. He came out to the Johnny Cash song "Ain't No Grave".

- Although WWE teased the "firing" of Drew McIntyre, McIntyre was not actually fired in the end. The set up for Edge vs. McIntyre in the opening match was that McIntyre would be fired if he did not face Edge. McIntyre faced Edge and was booked to lose to the World champ. McIntyre would have joined fellow heels Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero on the list of characters "fired" by Smackdown GM Teddy Long over the last three weeks.

- Cody Rhodes was scripted to challenge Rey Mysterio to a match at WrestleMania, continuing the build-up to their eventual match. Mysterio did not appear on this week's Smackdown episode.

- Michael Cole announced he will name the special referee for his match vs. Jerry Lawler at WrestleMania on Monday's Raw episode. Cole described the individual as "flamboyant, simply awesome, and one of the all-time greats in WWE." The Miz is awesome, but surely it can't be him, as Cole also said "and we all hate Cleveland", which is where Miz is billed from. It must be Alex Riley then.

- Santino & Kozlov were cashed in their title re-match after dropping the Tag Titles to Slater & Gabriel at the Elimination Chamber PPV. Slater & Gabriel retained after a Corre distraction.

The ref is rumoured to be 'The Mouth of the South' Jimmy Hart, Hogan blabbed about it on Twitter which has irked WWE somewhat.

did anyone else think it was hilarious that when Edge came down to the contract signing after the Mexican national anthem the crowd started chanting USA even though Edge is Canadian!

They were obviously cheering for Teddy Long

Although, I guess he wanted the contract signing to turn into a brawl, because Edge gave him fair warning, but he never tried to stop it, he just scarpered !!!

Possibly JC, but it seemed like an accident as opposed to blading and you cant exactly come in and clean it up during a brawl. However, there have been a lot of things that swing towards a move out of PG, but we'll see i suppose

When's Austin due to be on RAW?
That'll be a clear indication with what he says, if he's given the free reign that the Rock had with swearing then a think a shift is underway.
