Discuss today's T20 here fellas. Another India win do we reckon, or are England finally going to turn it on in the shortest of formats?

you kept saying that before he got a game in the ODIs and he didn't exactly do much then to justify selection

nice to see you back your selection preferences up with well reasoned arguments tho Wink

going at around 7.5 per over bowling outside the powerplays with no wickets is not doing badly ?

not going to judge the guy on one game but it doesn't exactly demand selection

did u watch the game that he bowled in? did u see him bowl? He didnt bowl that badly, the indians got on top of him, after about 6 overs, and he started to lose his line a bit, but that one game dosent mean he should be cast aside, he is a very good t20 bowler, especially in the powerplays, and i think he should be given a go today.

who said he should be cast aside ?

i just said his performance in the ODI didn't exactly scream "pick me, pick me"

and you just constantly repeating "borthwick must play!" before every game on this tour is a bit tedious tbh

i'll think he will play today given its just hit and giggle but wont be surprised if he doesn't as i think patel will play and swann is captain so will we go in with three spinners against a team who play spin very well ?

Hales takes a very fine running catch at deep midwicket as Kohli goes for another almighty hoick. I think India have been a bit gung-ho here with their batting here. England bowling a lot of cutters and slower balls so far. 26-3

India a little guilty of what England were during the ODIs, six four or nothing, far too many dot balls so far.

Very decent start here for England.

Only bad thing is early wickets leave more overs for Raina (and Dhoni? Wonder if they'll take his wicket today...

Not a very good start for Swann Crying or Very sad

Now the (expensive today!) Swann is back ...and he has to bowl three more unless they're bowled out.

Two things possible now I reckon: either Dhoni goes nuts and turns things round with another bunch of sixes , or England are looking at a fairly modest target...

Picking up on your suggestion, rich : I'd agree Finn hasn't done his Test claims any harm on this trip. It hasn't been his figures so much as the sheer energy and number of dangerous deliveries , surely spelling potential success in the long game.

The trouble is there is a bit of a queue...though if Tremlett is not fully fit ...

England have bowled very well here, they've understood the pitch and have bowled lost of cutters and slower balls. It's a typical Bopara pitch and after a couple of failed mows he gets rid of Yusuf Pathan.

bit unlucky from dernbach that over

first ball comes off inside edge for four , he gets the mishit from dhoni straight in the air which gets dropped and they run two and then dhoni hits a 6 of the next ball

fine margins between a very good over and a bad one

Dhoni is out! Dropped by Bairstow (though it did go very high indeed), but the last ball he can't get away and Dernbach just picks it up, runs down the stumps, and for the first time of the tour England have dismissed Dhoni.
