Him and Her
Anyone watch the new series of Him and Her on BBC3 last night?
Was anyone a fan of the first series?
I think it's the best BBC sitcom since the BAFTA winning Pulling was unceremoniously axed after two seasons for no apparent reason. The feel of the relationship at the heart of the comedy is so real and brilliantly cringeworthy because of it - very much like The Office was in it's heyday. The claustrophobic setting is perfect for drawing you into their life. And the chemistry between Russell Tovey and Sarah Solemani is unbelievably good. They make such a funny double act.
The support characters, particularly Laura, are also brilliant. I really can't rave about this comedy enough. It's surely due the big step up to BBC2 soon?
If you haven't seen it yet, check it out on iPlayer.

I loved the first season, very funny for a programme set in a bed-sit, Becky and Steve have great on screen chemistry.
As you mentioned the supporting cast are great especially Dan who lives upstairs, Joe Wilkinson is a great comedian and suits the akward nerdy type role

Yeah it's not a bad comedy, but I only watched the first series because the woman in it is just sensational.

Him & Her gets third series
Him & Her, the grimy BBC Three sitcom about a young and in-love couple who live in a squalid bedsit and have no desire to seek employment, has been commissioned for a third series.
The real-time comedy, written by Stefan Golaszewski, offers a "warts-and-all look at what really goes on behind the bedroom doors of today's 20-somethings".
The show stars Russell Tovey and Sarah Solemani as the central couple, Steve and Becky, with Kerry Howard as Becky's sister Laura, Ricky Champ as Laura's tough boyfriend Paul, and Joe Wilkinson as creepy neighbour Dan.
All are due to return for the new six-part series from Big Talk Productions, which will be filmed and broadcast in 2012.
The second series of Him & Her is currently broadcasting on Tuesday nights, but channel bosses - notably controller Zai Bennett - are so pleased with the show's performance that it has been recommissioned with 2 episodes left in the run.
When Him & Her launched in September 2010 it became the highest rating sitcom debut on BBC Three, with an impressive 2.1 million watching across the week. The show has maintained low but steady audience figures since (averaging just 600,000 viewers this series), but performs well on the corporation's iPlayer catch-up service.

Great news.
I enjoyed this week's episode again, hasn't been a bad one this series yet.

Really good sitcom. Surprised to find out Russell Tovey is gay in real life.

Does anyone else think tonight's Christmas special might be a little bit predictable?

Re: Him and Her
Anybody been watching series 3 of this? Currently watching episode 4 on iPlayer, can't help but think, "but how did they possibly get burgled? They never leave the place".
Been another good season so far, wouldn't say any of the episodes have been unfunny.
