This probably paves the way for me to make my proudest cricketing boast although I wasn't aware of its significance at the time. In a Sunday Surrey village friendly with my side nine wickets down I batted out the last over bowled by Ashley Giles to scrape a draw. Mind you, at the time the future King of Spain was about fifteen and I was almost thirty .... Wink
