606v2 Slammy Awards 2011 - Category Ideas

Hi there everyone,

Please use this thread as an opportunity to come up with any more category ideas for the 606v2 Slammies. The following are the ideas I had:

- Best Overall Contributor (606v2 Favourite Superstar of 2011)
- Most Argumentative Bugger (Who Always Has a Good Argument)
- All Round Good Egg of the Year (Everyone's Favourite...)
- Hissy Fit of the Year (Best Strop at a Wrestling Storyline)
- Fantasy Booker of the Year (Who Comes Up With The Best Scenarios?)
- Fantasy Booking of the Year (Best Fantasy Booking Post)
- Best Newcomer (Who Wasn't On The Original 606 or Has Joined In The Last 6 Months)
- The "We All Think You Are Wrong; But We Respect You (Sort Of) For Refusing To Change Your Mind In The Face Of All The Evidence" Award (Fairly Self Explanatory)
- Rant of the Year (Best Rant Regarding Wrestling Past, Present or Future)
- Prediction of the Year (Who Has Either Been Mystic Meg or Waaaay Off)
- Ask the Tart's Question of the Year (Crip's Chooses His Best / Favourite Question)
- Most Dedicated Poster of the Year (Largest Number of Posts on the Wrestling Board - Some Help from 606v2 Admins on This Would Be Appreciated!)
- Post of the Year (Simples, Whether Fun, Clever or an OMG Moment)
- Thread of the Year (Stand Out Stand Alone Thread)
- Regular Feature of the Year (e.g. WWC, Ask the Tart, Tree of 'E)

Please do remember the main rules of this though, it is about having a laugh, being positive in what we do and congratulating some of the people who have made this a great board to be part of. In light of that I am sure that the collective minds of the 606v2 forum can come up with some good stuff?!

(I think Crips should decide this one. This is based on his thread being the most popular one going. He can award it based on difficulty of question and how good the question was.)

I also think we should have an award ceremony one evening when everyone is present on chat box (one night when no sport is on?) We can also announce the winner of the V2 WWC as well if the finalists are posted on that day. I think if you ran the poll now for the ones above you have, then both this and V2 WWC would finish around about the same time.

That's a good point xTwisTx... I was thinking of giving this the weekend to see if anyone could come up with any other good categories and then having a release next week.

Chat box idea is great! Also like the idea of coinciding the WCC final aswell!

I think we should make one award the most prestigious like the superstar of year award at the slammy's, the one that everyone wants and the most respected award like the best album award at te Brits. Maybe it could be the Best Overall Contributor or Thread of the Year?! Which ever one it is should be the final award and have a big build up!!

Just to give you a heads up, 606v2 is planning on having some official awards going out at the end of the year covering all kinds of things where we are actually going to give them to the winners via agents/ twitter etc.

So bear that in mind for superstar of the year - call it the 606v2 Favourite Superstar of 2011 award please
