Kahn Fotuali'i: Set Tommy Bowe up for the Ospreys' only try
Ospreys wing Tommy Bowe praised new signing Kahn Fotuali'i for his performance in their 28-21 Heineken Cup win over Biarritz on Saturday.

Fotuali'i, who was one of Samoa's star performers at the Rugby World Cup, set up Bowe for the Ospreys' only try.

He put in a chip kick and regathered before passing to Bowe to get in for the try.

Bowe was impressed with the former Crusaders scrum-half's performance and said he expects him to make a big impact with the Welsh club.

"Kahn is electric, a player who makes things out of nothing," he told thisissouthwales.

"The more he settles the more he's going to be a firm favourite around here.

"He's a top-class player," added Bowe.

Ospreys coach Jonathan Humphreys agreed with Bowe and said Fotuali'i's tenacity and fighting spirit was particularly impressive in the closing stages of the match as they tried to prevent Biarritz from scoring.

"If you just isolated the last ten minutes of that game, you could see a kid who is desperate to compete and desperate to win," he said.

"That's why we were excited when we signed him.

"He is a great rugby player and a great competitor," added Humphreys.

Maes - No he'd strained it in training but managed to get it sorted through physio before he played in a match. Always concerns me cause it's a recurring problem.

Good run by ospreys,turning very little into something until Tuperic couldn't hold the pass and knocked on...!

He has looked a little slow...

Especially in that Italy and Aussie game where he had the ball in space.

Yeah it was in the Oz game he strained it Maes and it was made worse in training, he had to sit out some training sessions. Could see that when he stumbled over the touchline after running the length of the pitch.

If the ref is going to penalise the feed at scrums he better be consistent about it.
