English tactics ended up in the Irish hotel. This whole saga is a conspiracy theorist's field day.

Possibly the reason for the Irish getting knocked out in the quarters too Wink

Well he should be and so will the other players. The views were to be held confidential for a reason, in order to be completely honest they had to tell some tough home truths. It might now be rather difficult to work with certain people once it gets out that they have openly criticised them. Brian Smith being seen as the 'lesser coach' has already been defended by a former player of his at LI, his ability to command respect in that dressing room and his confidence to believe in what he's been doing will be shattered.

The usual embarrassment at the RFU where politics becomes before all else.

Other than SA, what other union has such a bad image of their political set up? John O´Neill can upset people outside of Australia but generally he gets what serves Australian interests best so I imagine nowhere else is the image as bad as England or SA. Which is a shame because that obviously has a trickle effect down to the players. World rugby needs these two nations at their potential best but it seems difficult to achieve that with the current set up.
