riddles
A black dog stands in the middle of an intersection in a town painted black. None of the street lights are working due to a power failure caused by a local storm. A car with two broken headlights drives towards the dog but turns in time to avoid hitting him. How could the driver have seen the dog in time?

Re: riddles
There are two doors and there is one guard for each door. One door leads to life and the other leads to death. One of the guard tells only lies and the other only tells the truth. You can only ask one guard one question. What question will guarantee you take the correct door?

If I were to ask you 'Does this door lead to life ?', would you say 'yes'

Re: riddles
7 children are being driven in a school bus. Each child has 7 school bags. Each bag contains 7 mother cats. Each cat has 7 kittens.
Happily, each of them has the foreseen amount of paws/legs provided by nature.
How many legs/ paws are in the bus?

Re: riddles
missed the 7 bags each bit
1 driver - 2 legs
7 children - 14 legs
7x7 bags - 49 bags
each bag has 8 cats in it (7 kittens and 1 mother) - 32 paws 32 legs
49 x 32 = 1568 paws and 1568 legs
16 legs of the humans
answer: 1584 legs and 1568 paws

Re: riddles
Actually scrap that answer, I think it is 16 human legs and only 196 cats legs
You say that each bag has a cat and that they have 7 kittens - you dont say that the kittens are on board.
Which means there are 212 legs and a further 196 paws (408 in total)

Re: riddles
I'm thinking 1388.
7 mother cats per bag = 49 mother cats. Each with 7 kittens = 343 which makes 392 cats in total Each wth 4 legs = 1568
Then 7 kids with 2 legs = 14 + driver = 2 legs.
=1584

Re: riddles
7 children
Each child has 7 bags
Each bag has 7 mother cats
For each mother cat there are 7 kittens
Each child has 392 Cat/kittens...that's 2,744 total.
2744 cats...4 legs each...10976 cat/kitten legs...plus 7 kids =10990
Plus the driver, 2 legs.

Re: riddles
I think DT got the right answer but with the wrong reasoning - there are no kittens on board but you miscounted the mother cats.
I do think Enforcer is fooling around and keeps changing the content of the post!

Oh yeah. 392 is per child.
Oops!
Re: riddles
I thought that the kittens might not be on board, but if that's the case then there might also be additional passengers on board so you may as well pluck any random number out of the air. The riddle is too open to interpretation.

Re: riddles
It's 49 mother cats per child.
That gives them 343 kittens per child.
343 + 49 = 392
392 x 7 (children) = 2744
2744 x 4 (legs) 10,976
Plus kids and drvier (16)
10,976 + 16 = 10,992
That gives them 343 kittens per child.
343 + 49 = 392

10,976 + 16 = 10,992
