Brett Morse hits UK Indoor best in Sweden

Brett Morse, Britain's top discus thrower, has opened his account in promising manner this season by way of a new UK best indoor mark of 60.99m at the annual World Indoor Throwing meet yesterday at Vaxjo, Sweden. That formed an improvement of 0.85m on his own previous mark of 60.14m, set at the same meet last year, and augurs well for a considerable move up the international ladder come summer.

Brett is still an U23, meaning also eligible to represent Britain at the European U23 Champs this summer, and is coached by former Olympian Nigel Bevan (javelin) while his PB stands at 63.35m from last summer.

Good throw especially when you consider that you cannot get a beneficial wind indoors!
