It a shame for him. It looks like that there is now no timescale to his return. Rio is just very unlucky at the moment.

If you have a back problem there isnt a great deal that can be done apart from surgery, obviously it depends where the issue lies

Its a calf injury he is out with at the moment, its not his back this time.

It could easily be the back problems that are the reason for the injuries and the slow recovery. Learnt a lot of this stuff through Daniel Agger being consistently injured.

I had an overtight muscle in my back and managed to tear my hamstring because of it. I reckon its related to his back really

He's currently suffering from a calf injury which probably as david1061 says is related to his back.

Notice today he's talking about quitting his International playing.
