Kurt Angle at the London 2012 Olympics???

What does everyone think about this ?

I know he's mentioned it before but there is an article on the BBC Sport homepage about it, thoughts?

Only thing I would add is unlike, other Angle interviews about the subject, he is candid about his chances.

I've merged the two threads we had.

It is nice to see an Angle interview where he sounds normal and like he understands his chances and situation.

So I assume after breaking every bone in his body, getting some incurable illness and dieing the day before the games Kurt Angle will still win Olympic gold.

To be fair the mans age really shows these days. But good luck to him.

I haven't seen him wrestle since wwe, so I don't have a clue how he is these days. If he made the Olympics, as a Londener I'd probably go and watch the wrestling for a laugh. Though I'm assuming he's unlikely to qualify.

I found the line "all the TNA wrestlers get a bit nervous when I wrestle them because they're afraid I'll tire them out " interesting... burying the talent, maybe?

I think his exact words to Sting, a few months back, were that he would destroy them, one at a time. Of course, a lot has happened since then. Wonder if this is why he's barely been on TNA lately, apart from a bit of rough-housing with Storm's hometown buddies.

I agree its going to be a huge challenge for him to even make the team. Part of me hopes he does, but another part of me worries he'd get blown away by the competition.

I feel bad for the young kids whose dream it may be to go to the olympics being overawed and beaten by a man who has a) already won gold; and b) already makes a very good living out of professional wrestling.

I think if anything it will give the Wrestling event unparalled viewing figures.

I'd certainly watch.

So what?

If these 'young kids' deserve to be at the Olympics then they will beat Angle in the trials, if they don't, then they need to go away and train harder for the 2016 Olympics.

Can't wait for his moonsault spot he keeps for the really big matches
