Tactics

Each week you shall play 1 game, either league or cup (no more than one game per week though), tactics for this game shall consist of a team sheet, injuries for your team, if your team is home or away and a maximum of 15 bullet point lines worth of team instructions.
As well as the tactical instructions you are allowed 2 extra lines of a team talk to motivate your players, show your worth not just for tactics but how you build players up for the game!

Individual Tactics

• Brad Friedal - Command the area, catch crosses, release the ball to the full backs
• King + Smalling - one striker Alves marks, Smalling sweeps. Alves you are the defensive leader. Both stay on feet, show strikers onto bad feet.
• Full Backs - Defence is number one priority, show wingers to bad feet, dont dive in, block crosses, when the opportunity arises get forward and help the winger using overlaps, watch for runs from Wingers
• Courgnet - you sit and protect the defence, look for Scholes, but don't be afraid to play passes yourself, Watch for runs from expected 3 am/wingers
• Scholes - You are our playmaker, your passing ability is second to none, the 3 am/wingers will be making runs for you, find them mixing up the passes to keep the opposition stretched. Do not dive in to tackles and get yourself booked, press and force the ball to be passed per team instructions and look to pinch the ball if possible.
• Di Maria/Gaitan - You have both been signed as renowned hard working offensively and defensively, make sure you track back and fill in, press, Look to get behind the full backs who are very attacking and will leave space, llorente will be in the both for headers, cut in occasionally to mix it up and make yourself available for scholes to find you. shoot when the opportunity arises
• free role today,find that space and work with scholes looking to release and create chances for Di Maria, Gaitan, and Llorente Shoot when the opportunity arises.
• Llorente - Target Man job for you, hold up and look to play in behind the full backs who will leave space for the wingers to get into, make sure you dont admire the passes and get into the box, as Di maria and Gaitan are exceptional crossers

Team talk: We've got a very slim chance of winning the league today so I want you to play your hearts out today and get the win. I am so proud of you this season and we want to go out on a high so get the win and whatever happens elsewhere, happens. Make sure you win though, I need the money!!

Overview: We're up against a team that likes to mix it up but we'll make it hard for them regardless of what they do by playing our usual high tempo, quick passing game. Spread the ball about the park and attack relentlessly. Using Martinez, we will dominate the midfield, the tempo and the game.

Buffon: Buffon: Be big and strong, catching everything possible and only punching when necessary. Look to start off a counter attack by playing the ball out wide.

CB's: Don't know who'll be up front for SS but I've picked by 2 biggest, baddest defenders. Zonally mark if there is 1 striker, man mark if there are 2 strikers. Rio, if zonally marking, stay back slightly and make sure you have a yard on the man. Both of you: be aware of an attacking AM.

FB's: Best FB's in the leagues. Always look to attack but remember that defence is your No. 1 priority. They don't have the best of wingers so look to force your men inside into the DM's and make them work to get away from you. When attacking, overlap with wingers but only 1 of you forward at a time.

Gustavo: Sit back, this will release Martinez. Zonally mark the middle of the pitch, man mark an AM if he comes within 10 yards and break up the play.

Martinez: Looking for you to dictate the whole game with your passing ability. Spread the ball out, ping the balls all over the park and get forward but remember to get back when we're on the back foot.

Wingers: They are missing their 1st choice LB so Shaq, look to exploit that by moving and attacking with pace. Both of you: look to cut inside and attack the CB's or go outside and cross into the box. If they force you inside or outside, go with the flow and hurt them. Swamp wings if you want.

Reus: You are our AM so get forward when we attack and act as a backup striker to Lew (like a 4-4-1-1). Slot into the midfield when we're defending. Look to thread through Lew or have shots from range.

Lewandowski: Our man up front. Sit on the shoulder of Coloccini; he's not the fastest so when you have the opportunity get away from him. There will be chances created, make sure you take them.

Subbies:

On 60 minutes: Regardless, Shaqiri off and Tello on (like for like). Look to really attack the substitute FB with electric pace.
On 75 minutes: If winning, Ferdinand on and Jagielka on (like for like). If losing or drawing, Muniain off and Milito on. Play:

Overall Team talk - There's nothing to lose in this game, you've performed alright this season but I know there's more to come and we'll have a good tilt next term, as for now, go out there and show why we should be a force to be reckoned with. Play with no fear, don't be afraid to get at them and most importantly, keep the ball moving, we're a good, technical side, if we can mix things up and keep them guessing, we'll get a result.

Friedel - Command the box. You're an imposing presence, let the defence know what you want from them and look for quick distribution to trigger Navas and Di Maria.

Alba and Zabaletta - Maintain a balance between attacking and defending, you're both excellent, hard workers and I want to see you both instill a solid work ethic for the rest of the squad to adhere to.

Alves - Lead the back four, command the set pieces with Friedel, don't be afraid to get stuck in. Show the dangermen on to their weaker sides and force them wide to gain help from the full backs.

Fernandez - Listen to Alves at all times, but don't be afraid to show initiative in dealing with their strikers. Impose yourself from the outset and don't let them get the best of you. Make sure you and Alves are in the thick of attacking set pieces.

Corgnet - Patrol the midfield, stop them playing their passes and look for Scholes and the wingers, don't be afraid to go long to Llorente either.

Scholes - You've done this all your career, dominate. Run the show, if you see a man in space, I trust in your ability to find them. Don't be rash in the challenge, just pressure them into mistakes.

Navas and Di Maria - Stretch their full backs but don't hesitate to come in field to dictate proceedings, look for quality deliveries for Gameiro and especially Llorente.

Llorente - You're the target man, win that ball in the air, make a nuiscance of yourself, don't be afraid to showcase your ability either.

Gameiro - Play off the shoulder, and close to Llorente for any knockdowns. Make runs behind the defence and make them work to create space for other players.

Subs: If losing, Kagawa for Gameiro and tuck in behind Llorente. De Jong for one of the wingers, pushing Kagawa out wide and him sitting in behind Lllorente.

If winning - Smalling for Fernandez. De Jong for Llorente and Kagawa for Scholes.

Team Talk: We have it all in our hands today boys, we need a point to win the league, but that isn't enough - we want all three and we want them in style. Too much thinking can be your downfall in big matches so I want you to all play your natural game and go out there and dominate. Bring the trophy back and I'll treat you all to a Pizza Hut after.

Ochoa – Stand up to one on ones and catch balls in the air that you can. Distribute short, we want possession to be maintained.

Howedes/Carvalho - Man mark the forwards they come with. If it is one, Howedes takes him. Always stand tall and give them a yard so they don't beat you and watch the ball not the feet. Be physical in the air and make sure they know you're not allowing them an inch.

Debuchy/Mathieu - Both of you have talent going forward so I'm happy for you to go up and support attacks. Don't stray into the final third though, make sure you're able to get back if the ball is lost. Jockey wingers and push them outside and use your body to block crosses.

Sandro - The most defensive of the midfield trio, I want you to hold position and track men who fall between the lines of midfield and defence. Break up play and distribute short to Ozil or Sahin or out wide.

Sahin - Get on the ball and pull the strings from deeper, keep the ball moving and the game flowing in the middle. Ozil will be ahead of you, and you'll have support out wide. Defensively, keep shape and stand them up.

Ozil - Sit between the lines of attack and defence where you're at your best and look to create chances and openings for your wingers and striker. Be patient with the ball and wait for their mistakes. Shoot if you have the chance to.

Sanchez/Jovetic - I want you to be making runs, I want you on the ball taking people on and I want you drifting inside and out - wherever the space is. Create chances, hit shots and run with the ball and link with Ozil/Ade. You need to be explosive in the final third, and Ade will be right with you to gobble up the chances.

Adebayor - Be the spearhead and provide an outlet for forward moves. Use your size and strength and get in the box when we're on the attack. There will be balls through to you, and Sanchez and Ozil will be creating, so be moving always and be in position for goals.

CBs we have speed out wide adn we need stregth in side, be tough and pyshical with there sriker/s bully them, you will have help from fenandinho and the Fbs so be prepred to challange for everying, look for kleber long or use the AMs Dm and Fbs to get it aways

DM, be a wall prtect and support the Fbs and totally defenive, we want 3 at the back at least at all times, play in kleber, pass short to the Ams or look toplat the wingers behind there FBs.

W, attack there Fbs head on and look to swing in ball for kleber or low ones for neymar, use tehAm,s and pass and move, also look for your FBs to be overlapping for a double team, aslo cup inside and attack there slower Cbs where u will have a pace advantage. shoot from range.

Ams
sit behind kleber and act as the Hubs, interlink with each other to overun the opponants, always look for the runs of the wingers and kleber and neymar, shoot from range, when they are on the ball drop back in the midield to form and 4-5-1.

Inler: Making your debut today show why your top midfielder and dominate the centre of the park force them to go down the wings instead of playing through the middle.

Di Natale : Drift about the front make sure you pull defenders with you to create space if they dont come then play passes inbetween CB and FB looking for the forwards runs

Vargas : You have a decent physical presence so stay on the toes of the defenders make sure if they try to get the ball 1st then put you body in the way and draw the free kick

Cavani: i want you to use your pace and run in behind the defence and finish with composure

Hart: Be alert for crosses coming in and any long range shots. Close down attackers quickly when one on one and dont go to ground too easily, keep yourself large in goal to make shooting more difficult. Launch counter attacks down the middle of the park by throwing it to Elias.

Defence: Play offside traps, wingbacks support our wingers giving us good width with over lapping runs to draw their defence to the wings leaving space in the middle for our striker and Podolski on the edge of the box. CB's be strong in tackles and Coloccini go up for corners.

Midfield: Wingers link up with wingbacks and get plenty crosses into the box. Look for the runs of Podolski on the edge of the box for him to shoot from distance. Look to play balls over the top of the defence for Nilmar & Podolski to run onto. Keita & Elias control the middle of the park, Keita stays back in case they counter attack.

Strikers: Get in the box quickly for crosses, make runs at their defence then pull back to be in space to receive the ball and look for quick give n goes with eachother. Shoot on sight and spread play to wings then get in the box for the cross.

Team talk
1st game of the season and even though we are away from home an attacking line up. Keita to protect the back 4 leaving Xavi space to push up and be the play maker for all attacks in the middle of the park. Crisp clean passing, no long balls, keep possession and make them work for it. Tire them out, and use our pace on the wings.

Specifics:

Keeper: Be alert to long range shots as our defence will be closing them down fast so its all they can resort to. Catch crosses at all time unless under serious pressure and punch it away. If they do break through our defence make yourself big in front of goal making the shot difficult.

Defence: Each mark your man and stay with him. Wingbacks stay goal side and block crosses. CB's strong in air, play balls out to Xavi for counter attacks. Play offside traps. Wingbacks give us width when we got possession.

Keita: Mark their CAM and make his life difficult to play the ball to the attackers/attacker. Take him out of the game and we got this one in the bag.

Xavi & Wilshere: Xavi is playmaker with free role. Link up the play from the back to attackers. Push forward and shoot when clear. Wilshere to help out Keita when not in possession and to push up when we have possession. Again, shoot from distance.

Strikers: Honda on the left wing cutting inside, but also dropping back behind Nilmar & Podolski. He is to link up with wingback when wingback in possession. Podolski on the right, but again cutting inside to play alongside Nilmar. Shoot on sight and from distance. Podolski & Nilmar link up with Xavi with lay off balls for him to run onto and shoot. Draw out their CB's and CDM to make space for our free man. Make runs on your marker for through balls.

Scenario 1 - Sub on 60mins if losing:
Elias for Wilshere. Like for like role, but fresh legs in the middle of the park. Play quicker balls to the strikers.

Scenario 2 - But if winning, no sub until 75mins:
Honda off, Elias on with Nilmar on the left. Maintain possession at all times and dont try silly attacks.

Team talk:

Keep that line tight and don’t allow them space to play in front of our defence. I want everyone back apart from Sturridge and Higuain so we have a chance to catch them on the break with pace. Ivanovic and Dominguez don’t head forward unless you know that De Marcos or Lampard are covering the space you’re leaving.

When we’re attacking move it quickly and along the floor, play one twos and pass in triangles. Give lots of support to the man in possession.

Goalkeeper: Keep it simple and command you’re area. If they break through come off your line quickly and make yourself big.

Central Defenders: Keep a tight defensive line, Zonally mark and make sure you don’t get dragged out of position, make sure you don’t get dragged out of position.

Defender Left and Right: Limit your runs if our man on the opposite flank has gone forward. Just remember you must get back if they counter attack

Central Midfielders: If our full backs are heading forward then one of you cover any space that their absence might leave. Always make sure whoever has possession has another option. They're likely to play Nasri through the middle, Lampard when they have the ball man mark him.

Left and Right Wingers: Drop back and double up with your full backs when you’re needed. When we’re attacking, sit out wide and stretch their defensive line.

Attack Midfielder: With their tank Lucas out we'll have a bit more time on the ball to be more creative. Play the ball fast and look for runs for our striker.

Striker: Sit on the shoulder of the defenders, your biggest task will be trying to get around Thiago Silva he's a mammoth of a defender. Look for gaps in their defence and make runs.

Scenarios:

If losing at 50 minutes: Sturridge moves up top with Higuain with Dembele moving out to the right.

If losing at 70 minutes: bring on Lennon for Dominguez. Change to a 3-4-3 with the following line up:
ML and MR: Ruiz Dembele
DMC: De Marcos
AMC: Lampard
LW and RW: Sturridge Lennon
ST: Higuain

Team Talk: First game of season lads. A lot of you know each other well. Defend as a team, help each other. Attack as a team. Tactics:

Schwarzer - Comunicate with your defence and help them stay organised. Make yourself big for one on ones. Come for crosses and set pieces in and around your 6 yard box. Keep organised & focused.

Jones - Giving you the RB role to try nullify the expected threat of Muniain & Lahm. Valencia will help you out. First and foremost dont let the winger beat you and keep him wide & isolated, we do not want him coming inside today. Attacking just support Valencia, dont go too far past the halfway line as their winger has pace and you dont want to get caught out of position. Use your strength, it could be key.
Smalling - If one up front you man mark, stay goal side and tight, try not to let him receive the ball. Challange for every ball in the air. Use your physical side to win battles. Try force him on weak foot.
Evans - If two upfront man mark. If one the act as cover. Challange for every ball in the air. Keep talking with your defensive line and keep it tight. Watch for late runs from AM's or others.
Evra - Defend your flank today, expecting Shaqiri & Srna attacking from FB position. Shaqiri will want to cut inside, keep him on his right foot and out wide, always marshall him out wide. Young will also assist you. 1st half dont attack to the byline, support Young and play him in behind. If drawing, 2nd half start to attack more aggressivly, whip the crosses in for strikers and watch Youngs central runs, play him in.

Valencia - Help Jones defend, double up on the winger or if Lahm comes forward keep him wide & block crosses. On the attack be direct, stay wide & find space. Rain crosses in aimed for the strikers.
Carrick - Read the game and break up play, make those interceptions. Get tackles in. Play as a deep lying midfielder. Play the ball direct to our wingers or in behind the FB's for wingers to run onto.
Biglia - Help Carrick break up play. Get tackles in, interceptions etc. Push forward more then Carrick, your passing ability can be used around the box, stay composed and pick a pass out.
Young - Help Evra defend, double up on the winger or if Srna comes forward keep him wide & block crosses. Attacking take Srna on, you have the ability too. Get plently of crosses in the box. 2nd half if drawing Evra will come forward more so you cut inside more, cross but try curling shots too. If cutting in doesnt work then stay wide with Evra and get the crosses in, loads of them.

Valencia, Biglia, Young - When Biglia has possesion around the 18 yard box, Valencia stay wide for a crossing outlet and Young drift into the box to link up with the strikers or find space for a shot.

Negredo - Stay in the 18 yard box but move around in to. Come a little deeper to pick the ball up, shoot on sight. Klose will be attackin all crosses, be ready for knock downs, strays or parrys from the keeper.
Klose - Play on the shoulder of the last defender, stay central. You job today is to go for every cross coming in. Go for goal or play Negredo in. Shoot from in the box. Really give your marker a hard time.

Ok we had a bad season last time out but we need to pick ourselves up and hit the floor running this time out. We have bought in a few new faces to help us out, which should be a big help. The spine of our team is very much the same however. LETS GO CONFC

GoalKeeper: Be vocal, Organise the defence, Watch where the ball is at all times and use your agility to make saves.

Defensive Tactics
* Midfielders must try to drop back to help the back four
* Track players who could pose a threat on goal.
* When in doubt get the ball out of play and as far up the pitch as possible.
* Im Expecting the opposition to be playing a very attacking team so we need to keep as tight to there players as possible and stop them from pinging passes around

Team-talk: Start of a new season. We have most of the old squad together so we know what it takes to win. I want to see us start this new season with a bang. A slow start cost us the league title last season; I don't want to see it happening again, ok? Go out and have fun, but win. 1,2,3 JACAMOS!

Overview: I want to see us getting on top of them; dominating the midfield with passing and moving and putting massive pressure on that defence, especially at RB if Rafael plays. I want to see Shaqiri, Muniain and Lahm all attacking him (a la Munchen) as he is unconvincing in defence.

Buffon: Buffon: Be big and strong, catching everything possible and only punching when necessary. Look to start off a counter attack by playing the ball out wide.

CB's: Klose should be playing so if there's only 1 up front, Dante will man mark him and Ferdy will stay a little behind as a backup. If they play 2 strikers then double team them. Feel free to swap man marking duties throughout the match. Be aware of any AM threat but keep the strikers quiet.

FB's: Expecting Young and Valencia on the wings. Whoever has Young, force him outside and keep tight to him like Emily Heskey to cherries. Whoever has Valencia, push him inside to the DM's. He will look to pass it more often than shoot. Get forward but only 1 of you forward at a time.

DM's: Looking for both of you to boss the game between you with smooth, quick passing. Xabi; cover whichever FB is attacking and help out with the defence IF the wingers cut inside. Javi; help out with defensive duties but get forward and pass all over the park. Keep the lid on any AM's between you.

Wingers: If Rafael plays, follow the above instructions. If he is not playing, then look to attack the FB's and cross in or attack the CB's and have a shot. Not convinced about Jones especially. Exploit the space he leaves when he gets forward which he will inevitably do. Swap wings on occasion.

Siggy: I want you to get forward in support of Lewandowski when we attack but get back into midfield when we are defending. See if you can pick anyone out with a pass or feel free to have a go with a trademark thunderbolt.

Lewandowski: Neither CB has too much of a height advantage on you so they can't dominate you. Keep moving and seek balls from the wings or from back down the park. Don't be afraid to shoot but if someone's in a better position pass it to them.

A new league, a new threat, a new challenge but in the first week an old adversary. We played Treble in the final week of the season and I'm expecting once again a tricky game, last time they played a counterattacking game so I'm expecting the same so we will look to put them under huge pressure early on and get a quick goal which will send their plans awry.

De Gea: I'm condfident you will be up to the task of keeping Matri at bay , be bold be loud be dominant. Instruct the back four, strong on crosses and make yourself big on shots.

Abate & Cole: Ensure you remember the fundamental role of defending first, they'll be looking to hit on the break so concentration and timing is paramount, keep a line and know when to pounce and when to hit the offside trap on their counters. Look to force them wide whenever possible When attacking look to link up with our wingers.

Hummels & Subotic: Subotic to take the role of marking Matri and physically impose him out of the game, communicate with the backline, it's remained together for a while now so everyone knows each others game so pick moments to push up and force them offside. Hummels to double up when needed but also to be aware of wingers coming inside.

De Jong & Toure: A huge midfield battle today between 6 fantastic players, De Jong is to be the clear up guy, nothing pretty, just enforce yourself over them early on, no raised feet but endure they know who is boss and you suck their creativeness out of them. Toure has licence to pick up the ball and storm through the centre but is to assist in the control of the centre of the pitch.

Cazorla & Gotze: Their fullbacks will be looking to push you outside so mix them up, swapped you both over to the preferred sides tonight so it will allow you to go outside beating the man and getting balls across the box if needed. If other winger has ball then look to get into the box and meet his cross. Peddle back to assist fullbacks when needed.

Thiago: In the hole for Thiago and to link up play through the channels, spread the ball to the wings and let them attack the FBs or look for Cisse breaking off his marker. If you find space with the ball don't be afraid to hit one from distance. When team under pressure come deeper and assist De Jong/Toure where you can then be the outlet.

Cisse: Time your runs today, expecting the defence to play deep, a quick burst of pace and you'll find yourself in the space between the CB and th keeper where it's a simple tap in.

TEAM TALK
Today is the start of a fresh season, we might have underachieved due to what happened before I took over but we can undo all that and prove our promotion credentials with a win today. We have some new blood in the side and will be organised defensively and free form in attack with Matri the focal point.

MAIN TACTICS
Play to dominate possession, we're not playing with wingers per se, but Chivu and Welbeck should both drift down the left wing and Hazard down the right. Play with intelligence, dominate the midfield and to isolate Cisse. We have a lot of players with chemistry in the side.

DEFENDING
- The basic plan is to stop the likes of Toure, Cazorla and Gotze getting forward to leave Cisse isolated, he can't score without the opportunities.
- We have a tight back four, the full backs should generally stay back and defend, not venturing too far forward. Chivu slightly more than Zapata.
- Rami should be the one clearing the ball and man-marking Cisse, with Ruiz providing the pace and clearing up, which works at Valencia.
- Yaya Toure will be bursting forward and Marchisio's main role is to keep him quiet.
- Vidal should be the screen in front of the back four and is responsible for holding the midfield. He should be making plenty of tackles.
- Welbeck and Cabaye should be both ready to get back with their high work rate, Hazard should stay high up with Matri preventing them from getting their defense forward (if their full backs get up is a 2v2 scenario)

ATTACKING
- Cabaye and Marchisio are both playing box to box roles today, they should both get forward and also try long balls in a free form attack.
- Abate at right back likes to get forward but Welbeck works hard for the team and will get back to help out. This creates an opportunity for us down that side as he can exploit the space between Abate and the centre back.
- Hazard has a free role, he can come inside and run at the centre backs or go down the wing and cross to use Matri's or Welbeck's height.
- Matri is a good goalscorer and should finish any chances he gets, he has a bit of pace about him and can use his height and strength.

SUBSTITUTIONS
If winning then bring on Nolito for Hazard. Move Welbeck to the right wing and we have an extra man in a five man midfield who will work hard.
If drawing then bring on Clichy and De Silvestri for Chivu and Zapata. Change the full backs, who should both bomb forward and Hazard should move behind Welbeck and Matri in a 4-3-1-2 formation. Overload their two centre backs with our three forwards, could also bring on Robinho later.
If losing then bring on Robinho and Nolito for Cabaye and Welbeck. Move to a 4-2-3-1 with Hazard playing behind Matri and the subs on the wings. Miccoli should come on late on to try and nick a late equalizer, with Marchisio making way.

We were stitched up last week and we want to come out this week and batter Jacamos to get the much needed points on the board. We will get forward with a lot of pace and Vidal and Marchisio will make tackles this week. We have more players to go forward this week than we did against Hero.

DEFENSE
- Play with a flat back four with those being much more rigid. The midfield is a bit more free form.
- Rami should be the main man on Lewandowski, he is taller and stronger so should dominate in the air.
- The runs from midfield will be stopped by Ruiz who has the pace and should watch the runners and try to block them out.
- Vidal and Marchisio should make tackles, and fight for possession, and when they get the ball try a long ball upfield.
- Arbeloa and Clichy will probably face Munian and Shaqiri on the 'wrong wings' therefore push them wide, forcing them to cross with their weak foot. If they're playing on their natural side make them cut inside.
- Our full backs should get forward and cross the ball, they can both do so and Munain and Shaqiri do not defend that much, leaving opportunity.
- Welbeck should pressure Alonso and stop him pinging his delicate through balls through, he works hard for the team and should stick to him when not in possession.

ATTACK
- Hazard and Nolito should both run at their full backs, Nolito cutting onto his right foot and Hazard being either footed can either go wide and cross, or cut in and run at the centre backs.
- Welbeck and Matri can both run at their centre backs in 1v1 situations, spread out and stretch them wide. They both have a decent amount of pace to do so.
- Marchisio and Vidal should work together both attacking and defending. Instead of leaving one player culpable, do it as a team. Both can strike from range and find a killer pass.
- Clichy and Arbeloa's overlapping runs should create two on one situations for their full backs, the overload should create chances.

SUBSTITUTIONS
If winning bring on Cabaye for Matri/Welbeck to add to the midfield, move to a 4-5-1 and dominate possession to win the game.
If drawing bring on Miccoli and Cabaye for Vidal and Welbeck, Miccoli is a goalscorer and Cabaye adds creativity to midfield.
If losing bring on Miccoli for Vidal, and play a 4-4-2 diamond, all out attack to grab an equalizer.

DM's: Xabi and Javi; you have enough skill and ability to control the midfield. Looking for both of you to sit back and stop Cabaye and Marchisio who will be in a box-to-box role. Get the ball off of them and look to smack them on the counter attack. Javi: You are our playmaker so look to dictate play.

Wingers: Look to attack the FB's and exploit their lack of pace compared to you. Swap wings from time to time. If you get forced outside, plan B is to attack the CB's directly. If they play without wingers, exploit that by creating chances on the wings. If either of you is facing Chivu, attack his lack of pace.

Dzagoev: You're our upfield playmaker. Look to play key passes to Lew or the wingers. Link up the play between the forward men and the DM's. Get forward and play just behind Lewandowski but drop into midfield when we defend.

Lewandowski: Hang around the CB's, keep moving, don't be bogged down. If man marked, drag the opposition CB far away, allowing a gap for our wingers or Dzagoev to get through. Have a pop from range from time-to-time.

Last week we had a good draw against a tough, well-organised team. Expect much of the same for this week. Play a high tempo passing game, use our wide me to get crosses into the box and the creativity through the spine of the team to carve out lots of chances. Go out there and make our fans feel proud to call themselves Eaaagles.

Goalkeeper:
Command your area, keep the back four organised and maintain a high focus throughout the game.

Defensive Tactics:
* Don’t take any risks. Get rid of the ball if there is any threat towards us. Look to get it up the field rather than in a dangerous area, which the opposition could capitalise on.
* They’ve got a lot of pace on their wings, which they’ll be foolish not to utilise. So stop the supply to the wide men. If they get possession then don’t get too tight otherwise they’ll break away from you. Let our wide men drop back and lend a hand.
* Close down Carrick will he will try to dictate the pace of the game. He is a very good passer so make sure you hassle him whenever in possession.
* We will be playing a higher line as there strikers don’t posses any real pace. Whether Negredo, Cassano or Klose, are chosen to play upfront, the latter two are getting on a bit but all provide a high goal threat so keep one eye on them at all time.
* If they get into the box make sure you’re first to the ball. Don’t give them any time otherwise they’ll punish us

Attacking Tactics:
* With Bender supporting and sitting in front of our back 4, we will have more freedom to utilise our more creative players. Both our deep lying player maker and advance play maker, Schweinsteiger and Ganso, will try to pick out as many passes for our more advanced players to go forward with.
* Support the man in possession. Give him lots of options so we can capitalise and really make it count
* If you’ve got some space and feel like you can really test the opposition’s goalkeeper then by all means take a shot.
* Use our wide men to get balls into the box for our striker to attack. Drive it in hard a low. whoever is attacking it make sure you get something on it to finish it.
* Higuain, play on the defenders shoulder and look to break through and pounce on any chances.

Stekelenburg: Make sure the back for are Organised and make sure you dont panic and allow silly mistakes.

The Back Four: Be sharp and alert dont allow anything silly to get passed and make sure you do what you can to drive them wide and make sure you mark them and try and force them in to a mistake. You all have played together before in Uruguayan national side meaning you are experienced and have good chemistry with each other. Lugano and Godin make sure nothing silly happens in the centre and try to force them to the flanks. Perriera and Maxi P i want you to be aware and try to force them wide as well as marking your players like the centre.

Motta: i need you to be alert and make sure you can win the balls from them and be sharp to help out the defence i need you to stay here so we can allow Mouthino to move forward.

Mouthino: with Motta staying back to defend i need you to move forward with eriksen to create chances and give you freedom to do so. try to use Erisken and The flanks and be willing to use through balls. shoot if you see an open chance.

Wings: Chances will be created from here as well make sure the chances are not waisted toward Cardozo even if its a cross or through ball use what you can to connect with him and the mid. Giggs i want you to be Organising the team as you are the captain and try to help create attacking chances and a few shots if you think will be good when there is chance that is open dont be afraid to have a crack at. Blaz i want you to try and cross the ball in and use the mid well , try and keep the ball and if you can get it to Mouthino.

Erisken: you will be aloud to move forward and create chances Mouthino will play right behind you and the wingers on the sides this will allow you to create a few chances and give you freedom to play with the ball and keep possation. dont be afraid to shoot if you see the chance

Cardozo: watch for balls from the flanks and mid make sure chances are not waisted , erisken will play behind you so try and link up with him. be sharp and ready for Counter attacks.

CENTRE BACKS Jones + Smalling - Keep a flat back line. Use your aerial abilities to win headers. Stay compact and don't make unnecessary mistakes.

2nd week in and already a top of the league clash against an old foe, last week they looked to push Xavi forward and dominate the passing in the final third so I want him taken out of the game, for this reason I've doubled up on defensive midfielders and pushed Yaya further forward to really physically dominate the middle of the park.

De Gea: I'm condfident you will be up to the task of keeping Nilmar at bay , be bold be loud be dominant. Instruct the back four, strong on crosses and make yourself big on shots.

Abate & Cole: Both wingers will be looking to cut inside so look to cut them off in their tracks with timed tackles and positioning so it forces them to slow their game down. Look to link up play when possible with our wingers doubling up on their fullbacks.

Hummels & Subotic: Hummels to take the role of marking Nilmar and physically impose him out of the game, communicate with the backline, it's remained together for a while now so everyone knows each others game so pick moments to push up and force them offside. Subotic to double up when needed but also to be aware of wingers coming inside and the passes from Xavi.

De Jong & Cambiasso: Between the pair of you the job is to crush and sap the Sideburns midfield. Xavi is to marked out of the game by De Jong, don't let for an instance to get into his usual passing momentum, Cambiasso to control Wilshire, niggle his ankles when possible. It won't be pretty but its a neccessary job to do.

Cazorla & Giovinco: Their fullbacks will try to keep goalside, look to run at them and mix up your tactics between going outside and playing the ball across the ground and breaking past them into the gaps and taking a shot from distance. When the other winger has the ball get into the box to add an extra goal threat. Peddle back to assist fullbacks when needed.

Toure: Slightly more forward for Toure today and a role where he can assist in the domination of the centre but with the strength behind him to allow him the freedom to run with the ball at defence.

Cisse: Drag the marker out of position when possible coming back to collect the ball and work with Toure as he powers through the space.

If losing/drawing at 70m: bring on Xhaka, Ayew & Thiago for Cambiasso, Cisse and De Jong, go 4-4-2 and use the speed of the forwards to create chances

Team Talk:
A surprised win in the Cherry Cup so I want to build on that mentality and push for our first win in the league. It won’t be easy but working together and main a high focus throughout the game can make it happen. Play direct; use your width and creativity to make something happen today. Create lots of chances and make sure someone is on the end of it to finish and score.

Goalkeeper:
Be vocal, keep the defensive line in check, and don’t let them drop deeper than the edge of the penalty area. Distribute quickly to our midfield trio. Also when dealing with their shots push it out wide, DO NOT knock it into an area where they can make us pay.

Defensive Tactics:
* I want everyone back when we’re defending. Keep a tight line, make it hard for them to create anything and plug any gaps straight away to neutralize any threat.
* Go in hard but legal, especially on their more creative players, such as Hazard. Make them feel uncomfortable to receive the ball, so they’ll rush possession.
* Play a deep line to deal with the pace they posses on either wing.
* Ivanovic I want you to deal with Matri. Match his physical presence and keep him out the game. Luiz watch the threat of Welbeck, he’ll look to use his pace to lose you. So match him.
* Khedira and Gundogan, you’re both playing in a deeper role tonight I want you use your strength and quickness to get at the man in possession. Dealing with Muller is key tonight. I want him kept quiet! No excuses. If he drops deep Khedira keep tight and follow him. Luiz and Ivanovic If he makes a run into the box, you follow him. Stay goal side and win the ball. Make sure he doesn’t unnecessarily drag you out of position.

Attacking Tactics:
* Schweinsteiger (advanced) and Gundogan (deep-lying) you’re our playmakers today so I want you two to dictate the tempo and control the midfield today. You know each from international duties so support the defence when we’re under attack and look to counter quickly when we’re in possession.
* I want to utilize the width. Get lots of balls in to the box; fire them in hard and at waist height, for the likes of Soldado to attack near post with Walcott and Dempsey to attack the far posts from either wing. Schweinsteiger, look to attack from outside the box.
* Dempsey & Walcott, cut in or takes the fall back on down the line. Switch wings ever so often to keep them guessing. Clichy and Arbeloa like to get forward so take advance of this.
* Schweinsteiger, give support to Soldado with your more advanced role. if both their defenders are following him then look for the runs of Dempsey and Walcott to exploit the gaps that they will leave.
* Soldado, you’re up front by yourself today, so don’t get double marked by their defence. Stay close to one of the center backs, stay on your toes and look to quickly turn him and break away. If they are both marshaling you, drop deep and create space for the wide men to get in and exploit the space.

If LOSING after 70mins:
Bring on Dembele for Gundogan, change to a 4-4-2 with Dempsey supporting Soldado and Dembele taking Dempsey’s role on the wing.

If WINNING after 75mins:
Bring on Van Aanholt for Walcott and change to a Rigid 5-3-2. Patrick to go to left back and Dominguez to move into the center. Dempsey plays off of Soldado up front, with the 3 midfield players, dropping deep and creating from in front of the defence.

Team Talk: we need to show the fans and are Rivals we are a team that can get promoted we where out played last week but this week we can play well and win the game. we have a few new players in to the team but that has been solved in training. Lampard will be a wise figure in the game as well as Giggs.

Stekelenburg: Make sure the back for are Organised and make sure you dont panic and allow silly mistakes.

The Back Four: Be sharp and alert dont allow anything silly to get passed and make sure you do what you can to drive them wide and make sure you mark them and try and force them in to a mistake. You all have played together before in Uruguayan national side meaning you are experienced and have good chemistry with each other. Lugano and Godin make sure nothing silly happens in the centre and try to force them to the flanks. Perriera and Maxi P i want you to be aware and try to force them wide as well as marking your players like the centre.

Motta: i need you to be alert and make sure you can win the balls from them and be sharp to help out the defence i need you to stay here so we can allow Lampard to move forward.

Lampard: with Motta staying back to defend i need you to move forward with eriksen to create chances and give you freedom to do so. try to use Erisken and The flanks and be willing to use through balls. shoot if you see an open chance.

Wings: Chances will be created from here as well make sure the chances are not waisted toward Cardozo even if its a cross or through ball use what you can to connect with him and the mid. Giggs i want you to be Organising the team as you are the captain and try to help create attacking chances and a few shots if you think will be good when there is chance that is open dont be afraid to have a crack at. Blaz i want you to try and cross the ball in and use the mid well , try and keep the ball and if you can get it to Lampard.

Erisken: you will be aloud to move forward and create chances Lamaprd will play right behind you and the wingers on the sides this will allow you to create a few chances and give you freedom to play with the ball and keep possation. dont be afraid to shoot if you see the chance

Pilar: watch for balls from the flanks and mid make sure chances are not waisted , erisken will play behind you so try and link up with him. be sharp and ready for Counter attacks and use Eriksen for surport.

Team Talk: this will be a very hard game but we had a good game in the cup this week and we can go out there and at least give them a game if we must!

Stekelenburg: be calm and make sure no silly mistakes happen command your back four and be focused.

Evra: you are captain of the team make sure you command the team and stay back for corners. when defending make sure no mistakes are made and if you have to force there wingers wide and try to make them play through the middle where Motta can take the ball. try to force them into a mistake as well as marking your player.

Godin: dont allow any mistakes , make sure to mark your player and dont make any mistakes , stay back for corners in case a counter attack happens if so be ready for them.

Lugano: Same thing taht was said to godin mark your player force them in to mistakes and keep yours to a min. be ready to clear out any balls taht are a threat and be ready for any counter attacks or crosses and mark your player.

Periera: Make sure your players are marked and be ready for counters , dont allow any silly mistakes and try to force them in to one be ready to force there wingers out wide if you need to and be sharp and ready.

Motta: Make sure you are sharp and ready for any mistakes made by them and try to keep yours to a min. Lampard will push forward while you stay back. try to make sure you can win the ball from them and make sure to try and keep possession. mark your player as well and stay back in case of counter attacks.

Lamps: Motta staying back will allow you to push forward. use eriksen or the wings for support if you need to try and make sure chances are not waisted and keep possession. you can cross the ball to klose if you need to and you can all so shoot if you see an opening. make sure no mistakes are made and be ready to react if they are made by them.

Blaczs: Be ready for any long balls to you and be sharp when attacking make sure mistakes are kept to a min and if you see them making a mistake react to it. you have Gotze on the other wing and Eriksen near you you can use them for support. try to make sure Balls to klose are good and use crosses for him to able to finish. you can have shots if you see any opening as well as cutting into the middle for shots.

Eriksen: You have Klose up front so make sure balls are good to him and keep mistakes to a min. you have Blaczs and Gotze on the wings use them for support and creativity. you all so have moutinho behind you who you can all so use.

Gotze: you have Eriksen and Blaczs as well as Lampard near you. make sure any mistakes are kept to a min and you can act quickly on any other theres. use crosses for Klose and make sure you are sharp and ready. you can have a few shots at goal if you see any opening as well as cutting in to the middle to create chances.

Klose: Be sharp and ready for any Crosses an dbe ready to make ever chance count you will have have good creativity behind you and be ready to header any over head crosses and mostly importantly play like you do for Germany!

Set Peices - do not waste them. make sure you see it as a chance to score and we could use it for overhead balls for Klose to header.
