Another point is, why are we playing Tonga in what will be a half-full Murrayfield, wouldn't it make more sense to play it in Glasgow, the Borders or Aberdeen?

Surely it would be a just reward considering the Borders have provided us with Hogg, Jones, and Laidlaw recently or even another SPL club.

Surely a good idea would be to play a series like this:
Week 1: Georgia/ Romania - The borders
week 2: Samoa/ Fiji- Glasgow
week 3: New Zealand - Murrayfield
week 4: South Africa - Murrayfield
week 5: Tonga - Aberdeen

Let's start putting international matches in Aberdeen and the Borders therefore we will whet their appetite for pro-rugby phone up some local businessmen get them to put in a 49% share whilst selling 49% of the existing Clubs.

I've been to several well attended Scotland A matches in Perth over the years. How about taking a game against the likes of Georgia or Romania to Dens park in Dundee? Could be a good way of raising interest in what is largely a round ball town. It would also be a good central point for supporters travelling from the North and Perthshire.
On the subject of Glasgow, there may be a large capacity stadium going cheap there next season......

Yeah I agree, I just don't see the point in playing matches against tier 2 and 3 teams at Murrayfield in front of a relatively small crowd when it would be much more beneficial long termif they play against the "lesser" nations elsewhere at cheap prices thus getting interest in Rugby from local people not influenced by traditional rugby then after a few years attempt to bring in more pro clubs. We could then expose u20 players to a higher level and bring in more foreign players thus raising the standard.

Ireland has to be Scotland's model - Edinburgh and Glasgow should be the premier clubs much like Munster and Leinster keep the top players there.

Revive the borders team - make them like Ulster bring in top foreign players and bring through a lot of young borderers

Create a "development" side in the north like Connacht focus on top young Scotland players exposing them to the higher level of rugby.

Using the Scotland team to attract potential investors over the next few years, make sure the SRU maintains a large stake in these teams therefore we can't have another Carruthers like situation.

Make them district sides and also make sure that no other senior side plays on the same day in that district for example if Glasgow played on Friday all the matches played in the west would be on Saturday and Sunday.

Plan to implement this by 2018 with a view to co-host the 2023 world cup with Ireland.

*this might be a bit ambitious
