Fantasy F1 Interforum League 2012

The season is about to start, so it's time for you to make your predictions for this year's interforum league. 606v2 finished a disappointing 11th out of 13 last season.

If you are late joining, don't worry, you will get some points for each race you missed (usually 20), and you can still help the forum in the league.

How to play:
Register on www.zdkf1.com and start your nickname with “v2”. (If you forget, please edit your nickname in the "my account" section.)
Add the other entrants whose nicknames start with “v2” as your friends.
For each race, predict the top 10 finishers, the pole position and pole time.
The prediction deadline is 10pm (GMT) on the Thursday before each race (except Monaco).

How the league scoring works:
For each race, the league entrants are ranked by the zdkf1 points they scored (tiebreaker is accuracy of poletime guess) and then points awarded to the forums similar to the F1 points system, although only the top 2 from each forum can score league points. Example:

There's still 10 people from 606 playing, so I will see if I can contact them to find out where they call home now, but I won't count them in the league.

GPFocus & F1Rejects were interested in taking part but didn't get back to me before the deadline. Hopefully they will join for the next race. There are three other forums invited who do not have entrants.

Whoever is sir_eddie_jordan, I have no idea which forum you are playing for (if any).

There will be a slight change to points scoring from last year: if a forum places more than twice in the top 10, the best two score points and the others are ignored completely rather than taking up places in the top 10 like last year.

Australia results
A great start of the season for cliptheapex with 1st and 4th. Defending champions not606 are second in the league after a 2nd and 6th. Allesandro single handedly upholds the honour of 606v2 with a great 3rd place. A brilliant start of the season for me personally with 51 points!

If you want, you can add the other players from 606v2 as your friends, but I post everyones' score each race anyway so it's not that important.

Well, my race prediction did not go well. In fact I may have brought great shame to my beloved forum after gerund within 0.020 of the pole position time.

It was so bad as I even had Perez down for 10th.

There was a small mistake with the results posted earlier. (Also, I've given up on trying to get the tables to align properly on here if anyone can offer advice I'd be very appreciative.)

The idea is you make your predictions before free practice (which is why the deadline for Monaco is a day earlier as practice is held on the Thursday). You can always make your predictions in advance and change them closer to the deadline if you remember.

Not606 retain the league trophy! It looked unlikely early in the seaon, at one point they were 50 points behind, but a 1-2 in Germany put them back in contention, and they were able to hold off cliptheapex to take the title by 30 points.

Silverarrow from not606 takes the title by just 3 points from cliptheapex's abnash!

It was a very close battle between the two of them that had been going on since the midway point of the season. Abnash can take heart from winning the Bernie Medal, the only trophy not606 failed to win.
