The Blims

Has anybody seen their song about Wales on youtube yet ? I was told about it this morning and it is very good if you ask me. Seriously if you like rugby then I suggest you get on there and have a look. I am not as able as most people on here so I do not know how to post a link to it, but if somebody could I would be grateful, it is called sideburns and sidesteps, or sidesteps and sideburns, well one of the two anyway.

I absolutely love The Blims, seen them live a fair few times, they've got some cracking songs, so I'm glad they're getting recognition for this one.

its up on itunes as well, i bought it, its pretty catchy. if (when) you boys win the grand slam there should be a drive to get it into the top 10!

I used to watch them a fair bit in my early 20's when i was living in Pembrokeshire, the Gavin Henson song 'Hero to zero' was fantastic.

I quite like the 'Fat Russell Brand' one, and the 'Flip off and leave me alone' one was always a crowd pleaser!

I do really like this new one though, tis in the top 5 in the "rock" charts on itunes at the moment I think.

Seriously though if go into the address bar how do i find the link I am looking for, do I type it in and it will all be done for me ? or should I just bring my daughter to work with me so that she can do it ? I think that my daughter option is the go forward one for me

They said on BBC Wales last night that it was no.1 on the iTunes download singles chart, but I don't use iTunes, so I'm not sure if theres any truth in that. I hope they're singing on Saturday. It's very much in the tradition of Max Boyce (who's probably secretly jealous ).

The song makes me cringe.

I was also told that they were going to record Cwm Rhondda during half time and that they were going to get the crowd invovled as well, I do not know how true this is but they are going to make a carnival atmosphere in the MS by the looks of it.

Yeah at half time they want all the Welsh fans in the crowd to sing a song (could be Cwm Rhondda, not sure) and they are going to record it and release it as a single I think. Something like that.

Yeah that was on the local news as well. I just hope Wales have a good first half or there won't be much singing! Probably going issue a modern version of something like the Gwlad! Gwlad! album which was recordings of singing from the old Arms Park.

I heard it for the first time yesterday and it just made me cringe. I wouldn't mind a song about rugby if it was a good song, but it's a poor song with embarassing lyrics.

Ah well, you cannot please all the people all of the time I suppose.

I would say it is by no means a brilliant song, but it's nice, easy to listen to, and puts a smile on my face, which is all I ask for really!

Can see why it doesn't please everyone though.

the address bar shows the page you are on. So at the moment its most probably saying something like https://www.606v2.com/ .If you go to google and type in "The Blims Wales youtube" you should be able to find the song. Once the page is up, copy the address in the bar at the top.

Is it really that easy Adam ? Right then, watch a whole new era of posting by ME.

I sounded like a real grump earlier. I don't like the song, but I don't hate it. Maybe it'll grow on me...

Pretty embarassing stuff.

Get behind the team etc but this is cringeworthy. Awful music.
