He was streaming training but they didn't cut cameras for sparring, happening now as I type.

Very weird sparring session. I expected a masterclass from Floyd but I saw some flaws - he looks like he's going to backpedal and counter against Cotto.

There were times when he turned it on though, blistering handspeed. Lack of power but thats never been Floyds strong point.

Knowing Floyd it was probably all a deliberate set up.

The sparring partner was Omar Henry, he's had comparisons to Cotto and was a sparring partner for Manny Pacquiao too.

I'm going off Wikipedia if you didn't guess, although I did recognise the style.

By the way at times Floyd sparred for 7 minutes a round!

Wasnt there a tape out before the Mosley fight of Floyd getting beat up in sparring. The Pac fans on Youtube had a field day but I have a feeling the video is intended for Cottos team to watch, if Floyd looks out of sorts then more people think he isn't going to win. But in reality Cotto is gonna get whooped!

Well, sparring is the ideal place to work on weaknesses without the risk of them backfiring in the shape of a professional loss, so if Floyd is looking a little off-colour here, it's nothing new. Never pay too much attention to how a fighter (reportedly) looks in sparring. No doubt Floyd's decided to do this to lure Cotto and his team in to some false sense of security, but ruth be told both Cotto and his cornermen should be far too experienced by now to be falling for that kind of stuff.

The video means nothing in terms of helping to judge the Cotto fight.

Mayweather is getting tagged more in the video against lesser opposition than in his real fights against better fighters, so surely just feeling the guy out and trying things.

He doesn't look like he's taking it too seriously.

What I meant is that the aspects he seems to be working on are countering going backwards ala Hatton instead of moving forward aggressively ala Mosely.

Might be working on his inside game too.
