Haye to face Wlad!!!!!

Yeah yeah, I haven't just woken from a coma. It's reported today that Wladimir Klitschko has been passed fit to face David Haye for the big HW summer showdown. Also seems more likely that the fight WILL be in Germany and not such far flung destinations as Dubai or Saturn (or whatever nonsense has been suggested of late)

So, it finally looks as though all the pieces are falling into place nicely

until Haye pulls out with a sore back of course!

Or Wlad strains a testicle thinking about Justin Beiber

Yeah, posted that on the other thread. Doesn't mean he wont just pull out with an injury at a later date if that's the plan though.

It was obviously always gonna be Germany or the UK, America doesn't care, so that rules Nevada out, gotta put the fight on where the most money will be gained, unsure though that it will gain as much from being staged in Germany as it would being staged in the UK however. But still plenty of fight fans will be flogging whatever to get tickets or just watch it on the telly, what I do.

On the Haye vs Wlad subject does anyone else think that if Wlad was to pull out, he would probably do it 2-3 weeks before the fight just to mess around with Haye's plans...

Well if he does, surely Vitali would be stepping in which, according to Haye still wouldn't be too much of a problem as he'll beat both anyway.

Lewis had Vitali as a change of opponent with two weeks notice, Wlad had Chagaev as a change of opponent.

Whilst a cancellation within three weeks would cause some problems, there's too much money at stake for it to happen. Perhaps there's a clause in the contract whereby even if there's a serious injury and a replacement cannt be drafted in in time, the one injured pays a fine of some description

Good news this, for 3 reasons.

1) Hayden Panatiere will likely be in the crowd - looking forward to a sighting of her more than the fight.

2) 3 belts will be on the line, making it a real unification.

3) There is a decent chance of seeing Haye KO Wlad.
