Weapon X well played son, well played

Hated him as an Eagle, but have to respect 16 years at that position. That many hard hits usually mean far less than 10-12 years let alone 16.

He belongs in Canton.

Watching his pre match speeches on youtube pumps me up! I watch them when I need to stay up during drab SNF games

Sad to see him go, he's brilliant on and off the field and should be a first-ballot hall of famer in my opinion. He brings such intensity but is a complete professional and great leader. It was probably the right time for him to retire, the injuries were stacking up and his play was starting to drop off.

Hopefully he can sign a quick little deal with Philly and retire an Eagle.

No disrespect to Dawkins, but HOF 1st ballot? Probably in due course, but not 1st ballot. There will be a few better candidates when he comes up for selection.

Likely he ends up getting inducted to the Hall of Fame. Shame he's got a few injuries as he still made it to the Pro Bowl last year, but I understand the logic he can't need the money so may aswell get out if you don't think it's worth the risks anymore.
