Yes. Not one of my favourite welsh players. Isn't that the point of this post? Annoyingly good at times, especially around the park but also, (only in my opinion), overrated as a 'prop' in the old sense of the word.......Shane Williams because of all the fanboys and the fact that he was so flamin' good and Phillips because I don't really rate him

Re: 3 favourite players (past or present) from your biggest international rival and your 3 least favourite.
For me:
Favourites:
Martin Johnson (great player, great Lion and as an additional bonus from my perspective, poor coach/manager)
Will Greenwood (smashing centre, great personality and as an additional bonus one of the few Sky pundits who makes sense)
Jason Robinson (one of the most watchable players of all time and always beat his man )
Worst:
Brian Moore (total plonker, self-appointed hardman and custodian of rugby morality - I personally didn't rate him highly as a player)
Matt Dawson (arrogant, cocky and permanently pleased with himself. Completely unfunny on QoS)
Jeremy Guscott (admittedly a world class player, but made smuggness into an art-form and his BBC punditry/journalism is pathetically ill-informed and lazy e.g. Richie Gray is over-hyped and resembles "bambi-on-ice").

Latham was the most complete fullback of the late 90s-early 00s. It's a shame he was playing at the same time as the most devastating of all time as he would have been recognised a lot more as the great player he was. You see a lot of him in Rob Kearney.

To be honest he didn't. Technically it was a cleanout. BOD wasn't anywhere near the ball...
For Aussie-our closest rival in everything else I'd take Nick Farr-Jones, Tim Horan and Stephen Larkham as the ones I like, and George Gregan, Stirling Mortlock and Matt "Pillowcase full of cake mix" Dunning as my dislikes.

Re: 3 favourite players (past or present) from your biggest international rival and your 3 least favourite.
NZ's biggest international rival is SA but Australia is probably fresher in the mind for many Kiwis and France has given us fans our fair share of grief so I think it's fair to give them equal attention:
Favourites: SA Juan Smith, Jacque Fourie, Joost van der Westhuizen
Australia: Tim Horan, Stephen Larkham, Willie O
France: Olivier Magne, Serge Blanco, Emile Ntmack
My least favourites are people if I'm being neutral would be in my favourites but have haunted me at one stage or another so may well be ones in a way I have the most respect for how much they riled me.
SA Matfield and Botha and Joel Stransky (the villains were pretty spot on Disney)
Aus George Gregan (notably the Goldie tackle and four more years), Phil Kearns which continues on to his commentating days, John Eales (even can kick the winning penalty goal!
France Dominici (what a player and what are you doing to my team!), Dusatoir, Saint André

Great player but it's funny how he seems to be disliked so many. I too must confess to being not a fan of him off the field. Not because of the Lions incident - I think Umaga and Mealamu should've been at least cited - but how he usually searches after a defeat his favourite excuses. It's not so much what the opposition did but what the ref or his own players did so poorly.
