Just seen this on Sky. One of Boxing's larger than life characters whose story would have you shaking your head in disbelief if it was on film. A life blighted by tragedy after tragedy and yet he still came out swinging. Rest easy Johnny, your Vida Loca is finally at an end. Hope you are at peace champ

Sadly it seems that Johnny was destined to die young, probably experienced more grief, heartache & anxiety in his 45 years than most do in a full lifetime.

Terrible news but given his troubled complex life it hasn't shocked me.

Read his book not so long back a fantastic read, his life really should be a blockbuster movie.

He fought his demons many times and KC summed it up perfectly a life full of heartache he couldn't conquer.
