Yeah things seemed to be going quite well, then as you say Best suffered an awful injury.

If we can get someone to replace him on loan as well as signing a permanent striker to go up top with Goodwillie and Nuno Gomes things wont seem so bad then, the goals will hopefully keep us ticking over until Leon is back in Jan 2013.

Obviously hope and pray its Jordon Rhodes but I am a realist and won’t believe it until I see it!!

Craig Bellamy to Cardiff, genuinely think that could be the best signing of the season. He seems so hungry these days, making up for the unfulfilled potential of his earlier days.

Everybody said that in 2010 and he was good, not great.

I thought last season he was probably the best player in Liverpool's team bar Suarez and was Team GB's best player as well. If they can get the best out of him, he'll be a star.

The season before that he starred for Man City tho.

Knees have gone. If you can get 20-25 games from him you're doing well I suspect. And for 30k a week its a big gamble.

That is just crazy crazy money. Don't understand the move for Rhodes, just a sideways step IMO for him

£8M is not too bad for a team that has no shirt sponsor, no stadium sponsor and only 8000 season tickets holders…

On a serious note as pleased as I would be with Rhodes, you have to wonder what will happen if we don’t go up in 2 years (think that’s how long parachute payments last for), could be another Portsmouth scenario??
