It has been brought to our attention that one member who has registered has been receiving spam emails and has blamed his registration with ourselves as the reason.
If you have any such issues, could you please let us know on this thread.

No spam but I do think the default should be off for the watch topic email alerts.

None at all.
In addition the email account that I use for this has only been registered with this site, the 606 list one of the members maintains for golfers to get in touch with each other and a few online retailers.
It would be very noticeable on that email account I were being sent spam.
So not this.

Smithers. In your profile there is a tab that gives you the option to turn the alerts off as a default. You can also unsubscribe from the ones that will continue to come from the threads you posted on prior to the unsubscribe option is activated by clicking the link in the notification.

This is a bit odd. All I can say that I've had no more spam since the day I joined and first posted.

He only joined today - we are taking this very seriously.
