How has ITFL got away with Marler, Morgan and Barritt playing sevens?

Well, Marler's game is actually pretty good for sevens, he's all about the offloads and he is rapid. Barritt is counteracted by having the best 9 and 10 in the world in a form of the game where they have enough space to be untouchable

Probably because he has Carter, Genia & Haskell in the ranks....

I was surprised to see Morgan in there. Bloke can barely last 60 mins of a full game. Would have thought Saull would be ideal

Bit harsh on Irish, seeming as you have so much magic in the backs, even the bench. Maybe missing a sparkle in the forwards?

scoring system is a bit harsh as well I guess with the football type system. i'll have a look at it.

Might go for an extra point for every 3 predicted wins, not 2

That's what I don't understand. Are we picking players to play in a sevens tournament or just your 7 best players?

It's not ITFL's fault, the other managers predicted losses for Irish so fair enough. Just don't see it from a neutral perspective.

Have to respect people's opinions

I've picked sevens players, definitely. Went for my most mobile forwards, Louw, SOB and Fearns and for the best playmakers and gas men out wide. Excited to get Eastmond in at FH as well, as will be pretty similar to dummy half in league, he could be amazing at 7s!

That's what I've done - it is a sevens tournament after all!

There's no prize money so I'm not worried. Just a bit miffed by peoples predictions.

PLayers to play in a 7s tournament, I happen to think that Marler is well suited for sevens (he is very fast for a prop), and Carter and Genia would be fantastic in 7s

7s doesn't preclude power forwards from being useful, and the rolling subs actually probably aid Morgan more than the increased speed would wear on his fitness

Not sure about Marler to be honest, better than most props, but still a lump, would get stepped for fun and hands aren't good enough

7s all about avoiding contact where possible

Pull - Personally, I would have rated your team a hell of a lot higher if Pocock and Tagi and Ojo had started

It's only 7's guys, some on here watch little of it so rate higher on names etc. don't take it to heart
