Foreign Transfers
First topic message reminder :
Bid for your foreign transfers here. To start the season, there will be two bids allowed per day, this will then decrease to one per day when the season starts. The Special Juan will then answer all of the bids received in the evening. They do not carry over, so you cannot bid nothing all week and then bid five times on the Friday.
The first bidder gets the first chance to sign the player, and if this offer is accepted then they will sign for the original club, regardless of the subsequent offers. But, if the original bidder has not bid enough or the transfer is unrealistic then subsequent bids will then be considered. Any following bids must be at least of equal value to the first bidder.
Please make sure all transfers are confirmed on the foreign transfer confirmation page.

Re: Foreign Transfers
John Guidetti
Man City
£8m
Guidetti would be much higher up the pecking order at Tottenham and it would free up space within the City squad for them to start their usual summer spending spree.

Anthony Réveillère
Lyon
£5m
Worth £3m in RL, is 32 so Lyon may look to youth players...can give Reviellierre a shot at PL football as he heads towards the twilight of his career, and can add some much needed class to my west ham defence.

Re: Foreign Transfers
Simon Kjær
5 Million
Wolfsburg To Aston Villa
Reason: I know you rejected this yesterday as you heard Roma were interested, so I've done some reserach about it. Simon has fallen out with Felix Magath (Wolfsburg Manager) and are no longer on speaking terms. Roma were interested but seem to have declined making a bid after spending last season there he made a fair few mistakes and they seem reluctant to make a bid because of his poor form last season. All of this I found on the internet in about 5 minutes. He's valued at around 5 Million and Wolfsburg are keen to sell him, so I think the offer should be reconsiderd!

To be fair I bid the same amount with the same logic and it was rebuffed.

Re: Foreign Transfers
at the end of the day, I've seen other transfer's happen here which don't have logic as to why they would sign. Kjaer won't be staying in Germany after burning his bridges, and is on the transfer list so will most likely go back to Italy, he won't be joining Roma as he had a poor loan spell there last season... they have been linked with him, but the're not making any moves for him. He would return to Palermo but they had a very poor season, like Villa finishing 16th place so if he would join them I don't see why he wouldn't sign for Aston Villa in which case have done a lot better in previous seasons!

Don't disagree but literally one week ago I was rebuffed for the same reasons so seems unfair for him to join you?
I do agree that far more unrealistic transfers have happened.

Rossi - Yes
McFadzean - Yes
Wanyama - Yes
Guidetti - Yes provided he gets a lot of game time
Reveillere - No
Kjaer - No but if he does end up joining a club on the same level then you can al bid again for him.

Simon Kjaer to Swansea for 5m.
Was actually linked to Swansea because of the Laudrup factor so he'd be happy to come here.

You have got to be kidding me!
I don't really want to hang around waiting for Kjaer to sign for somebody in real life, when I've already given perfectly clear reasons as to what he'll most likely be going in the summer anyway!

Re: Foreign Transfers
Try this one instead...
Marvin Montoya
Barcelona
Fee: 5m
Reason: Alves is the clear number one at Barca whilst the club have a history of allowing their players to leave for 1st team experience at an early age knowing they can get them back at some point if they make the grade (piqué, Fabregas, alba all are recent examples of players who returned to Barca). At Spurs he can challenge the other young right back Walker for the 1st team.

Would take a good offer with a first team replacement elsewhere, but possibly.

I also have Walker so he'd be coming in mainly as cover for me but certainly be interested in him. Saw him Wednesday night when I went to the Spain game, for the most part he was solid.

Re: Foreign Transfers
Matija Nastasic
Fiorentina to Liverpool
£4m
He would love a chance to prove himself in the premier league, has been linked to the league with Arsenal. He would join former Fiorentina team-mate Vargas.

Stevan Savic
Man City to Tottenham
6m
Savic is reportedly unhappy with his lack of opportunities at City since he signed and he will certainly get the opportunity at Spurs where we are looking to youth over the coming season,we recently signed his colleague Guidetti and have already shown he's going straight into the picture of the first team.

Re: Foreign Transfers
Scrub Savic due to being pants...
Sebastien Corchia
Sochaux to Tottenham
3.5m
Corchia is a promising French u21 but needs a move to stop his career stalling, at Spurs he gets a much higher profile club and with his ability to play on the right of midfield he will get opportunities as cover for either Walker or Dzagoev.

Takashi Usami
Gamba Osaka to Liverpool
£1m
Big chance for him to move into a major league. Bayern had him on loan but didn't snap him up and is still at the Japanese club.

Jack Bultland
£1 mil
West Brom to Chelsea
Butland is a class act and too good for the championship. If he wants his international career to progress he'll need PL and CL experience - we can offer him that.

Re: Foreign Transfers
Christian Tello
Barcelona to Stoke City
£5.5M
http://www.caughtoffside.com/2012/08/06/arsenal-set-to-pounce-as-barcelona-snub-young-talent-cristian-tello/
New Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova has decided against including Tello in his 25 man squad for this season. Tello would be the sort of player Arsenal would sign and try to develop, but age 20 we feel Christian already has the ability to make an impact in the Premier League. Christian would be a first team player for us, the sort of player to build a team around. The fee is higher than Barcelona are looking for him, and we would also be willing to include a release clause in his contract, something like £11m (double our outlay) so that if Christian does make a big impact, and other Premier League/European sides would be interested in signing him, we wouldn't stand in Christian's way of furthering his career.

Re: Foreign Transfers
Today:
Carlos Sanchez
Free Agent to Everton
£1.3 million
He is heavily linked with Bolton in real life but we would love him to join our midfield where he can show why he can play as a midfield enforcer allowing Parker to be more expansive.
I'll wait on the other two but might put them up later.

Gregory Van Der Wiel

Reason: VDW didn't have the best Euros, he looked out of form and he's out of contract next summer so he badly needs a move to reignite a promising career, his teammate Vertonghen recently joined us so we'd like to reunite that pairing here at Spurs.
