Adrien Broner vs Vicente Escobedo

This weekend, is it just me interested?

I think this Boner's a potential star! And I'm also wondering whether I'll have to find a stream or if it will be on Sky???

Boxnation have it.

Don't think much of the opponent but Broner is always fun to watch. Walkover for the WBO champ.

SFW is a rubbish division, unless Gamboa steps up, Broner needs to step up and test himself against the top LW fighters like de Marco, Vasquez, Abril etc. Even Burns.

Yeah its on Boxnation. I'm looking forward to it Broner is a real talent but this theory that their is no one to fight at the weight is nonsense. Takashi Uchiyama is a good fighter but don't expect to see him and Broner fighting any time soon. The fact he's in Asia makes it very easy for GBP to pretend he doesn't exist.

Escobedo is tough and might take Broner the distance but I doubt it. Broner is lighting quick and can seriously bang. I think he will just be too much for escobedo and wear him down for a stoppage around 8-9.

Escobedo gave Guerrero a few problems if I remember correctly, if Broner bangs him out in double quick time it will be very impressive.

Uchiyama and Ao who haven't been offered a fight with Broner so the whole they won't leave their backyard thing hasn't been proven. There is also Javier Fortuna and Diego Magdaleno. I never knocked the Escobedo fight just said that there are fights at the weight for him.

Anyone know what time this fight will start? 4am?

It shouldn't happen. Broner is cheating coming in at that weight. Oscar should do the right thing for Escobedo and cancel it.

Fight is going ahead. Escobedo is getting $400,000 for this fight now as opposed to the original $150,000 (according to reports across the pond).

Broner last weighed in at 148lbs compared to Escobedo 140lbs.


Absolute farce. Hope "comb-over" Broner gets his chin smashed.

Much as he had an advantage, I don't think things would've been different if Broner didn't come in over.

I actually believe Broner when he said he's outgrown the SFW Division. He'll be at 135lbs after this. He's 22 and his bodies still maturing and he was the biggest SFW I had ever laid my eyes on.

Agree Escobedo had no answer for the jab or left hook, Broner pretty much won the fight with his left hand, looked a lot more hittable did Broner though in my opinion.

Great boxer without doubt. Probably P4P #1 in a couple of years. I can see him going up to the WW division.

But to me his character seems too contrived and fake. He's trying too hard to be funny and make headlines. Hope to see him on the seat of his pants and out cold.

I actually felt a bit sorry for her, she actually looked really embarassed, I think she really thought he was gonna propose.

Think Broner could become the next Holyfield. 4 kids at 22, I think with a couple of different women also.

Expect to see him fighting in 20 years time. I'll be telling my grandkids how good he was as a youngster and they'll be telling me that fighters of the HD generation were never as good as fighters of the 3D/Holographic TV generation.

Noticed there was no mention of Burns when talking of who he would like to face.

Not surprising that Burns ain't on his radar but with him now being madatory for the WBO belt he maybe woulda had him in mind.
