Been watching the Olympics?

Today? No.
This week? Yes indeed.

Enjoying it more than I thought. I usually don't like the Olympics much, because its mostly a load of weird games that I spend too long thinking about, rather than just enjoying e.g. Why the hell is the Triple Jump a thing? How did that ever become something?

But I think it's made a huge difference being in London. Loved watching it.

I agree Demon, I was screaming at Farah when he was running that last lap, never thought I would.

Water Polo is the one that baffles me. Why the Polo part? There are no horses. It seems more like Water Handball to me

I think we just accept the absurd as normal when we're watching it. That's what's brilliant about the Olympics.

I watched a bit of the Rassling in the Olympics earlier. They aren't allowed to takedown by the legs. So they were just like rubbing each other in the chest. Weird.

Hammer ..... it doesn't even look like a hammer try hanging a picture on the wall with that! One swing and you've got a hole in the wall just like the hole you get in polos the only mints with holes. Just don't get me started on modern pentathlon. I mean how modern is it? Shouldn't there at least be a few rounds of bowling on the Wii as part of it!

For some reason the javelin strikes me as a reasonable event.

All the other throwing ones are nonsensical.

And I can only assume that Steeplechase is for people who like horse racing, but can't afford a horse. Why has one of the jumps got a puddle after it? It's mental!

I know if they have steeplechase for those who can't afford horses then why don't they have council tennis. You play tennis on a broken up asphalt tennis court with weeds growing up inbetween. A very saggy net chord and a lump of dog sh! in the corner.

We used to play tennis over a wall separating someones front garden from the main road. But the garden was raised, so the person on the road had a 4 ft brick net, and the person in the garden had 1/2 a foot.

Anyone used to play Curbsy? That should definitely be an Olympic sport.

I know it's a Winter Olympic sport, but ever wondered why they even bother letting men participate in Curling?
