madrid beat a tough spurs side at the lane today to take home all 3 points. real started strongly by scoring the first goal of the game through gareth bale's shot which was deflected by maicon and went into the back of the net. spurs started to get back in the game a bit more as real began defending deep to protect their lead. this helped spurs to gain momentum and they equalised with modric's pile driver from distance. in the end however it was bale who got the 3 pts for his team when he beat maicon for pace and scored with a low finish

arsenal tried hard to break down a resilient dortmund side at their home ground but BVB take home a hard earned point. the away side was the better team here as they controlled the majority of possession and also scored the first goal of the match. they were punished for their finishin or rather lack of it. valencia missed a sitter for the gunners as this allowed dortmund the chance to stay in the game with just one goal in it. the home team equalised in the final few mins thru di maria to get a point.

two very strong teams facing each other today with the game ending in a stalemate.bayern were the the slightly stronger team but at home chelsea managed to give a good showing and held on for the point. the away side scored the first goal from a corner. it was poor marking by the chelsea defenders to allow ibra a lot of space and the former barca man made no mistake with his header. the away side kept the game under their control in the first half but after the break chelsea saw more of the ball and were starting to really trouble bayern. chelsea got their goal which their second half play deserved through gomez.

mancity were unlucky to lose today but they were facing an incredibly strong united attack. the home side got the early goal and controlled the game in its early stages. united were looking shaky at the back with rio and carvalho. but near the half-time lionel messi produced his magic to score from an unlikely angle to take both teams level in the break. after the break it was again messi who got on the end of a perfect thru ball by lampard to round the keeper and slot home the winner.

Madrid still feeling the impact of their injuries but they still managed to come away with the points at WHL. The battle was won in midfield where Madrid are superior to Spurs to a man. They had more possession and created the better chances. Tevez linked play well although he looked rusty in his finishing after long spells on the bench. It was left to the ever excellent Yaya Toure to open the scoring and David Luiz to thunder a shot from distance. Spurs pulled one back late on but could not force an equaliser.

Dortmund are under new management and are looking stronger but they were still unable to get a result as the visitors enjoyed the greater share of possession and chances, ultimately nicking a winning goal through Robin van Persie midway through the second half. Better times ahead for the hosts perhaps though.

Utd have a plethora of top players but the balance doesn't look right for me. They are very attacking and when Lampard goes forward as his instinct drives him, Cambiasso was very exposed. Better finishing from City would have punished them fully. As it was, City themselves looked light in midfield and creativity but profited from Cambiasso often being outnumbered. Torres and Rooney scored for City with Messi scoring inbetween to gives us a 2-1 half time score. City looked to be heading for victory but one reason anyone signs Messi is his ability to win matches on his own at times. He didnt win this one but he earned a point with a typical strike late on.

Barca are looking like the side they started the season with these days but no reason why that is a bad thing as they outclassed a decent Inter side to record another vital win. Inter have a good team but man for man, Barca are superior. That does not always guarantee results but today it did.
