The Apprentice Task 6 - The Semi-Final

Sod, Nando, Viva and Twist,

Right there are four of you left and it's each man for themselves.

The modern is world is dominated by social media and football is far from the exception

I want you each to set-up your own football related Twitter account. You will be awarded points - each follower will earn you 1 point, a retweet by a verified famous person will get you 2 points, and a verified famous follower will earn you 5 points. As an additional points opportunity, if you get a celebrity to retweet a link to an article on 606v2, you will get 5 points.

There are no rules. You can get other managers to help, you can do a spoof. How you do it is up to you.

The two finalists will be the Apprentices who have the most points when I get back from my holidays on 28th August.

Once it is up and running, please post your Twitter address up on here as you will all have a minimum of 1 follower, which will be me

Can I say outrageously offensive things, and if so, can I blame you when I'm in court?

Well I have never used Twitter, and I don't think it will turn out to be footballing related. I can make a comment about Lady Gaga and get retweeted by all of her followers.

So no, not my cup of tea at all.

And I said football related, but I also said the rules are loose, so it's for you to decide how football related it should be

Viva - isn't that your own Twitter account. You can't use that as you already had followers before the task started

Yes it is but it didn't say that I have to make a new account, it just said create an account.

It didn't say that I have to make a new one, all it said is set up which I did.

It will either be considered initiative or trying to pull a fast one. I haven't decided which yet

If Viva is allowed to enter his own twitter then my current one would presumably qualify too

Not that I have enough followers to be considered a real threat, but I wouldn't think it fair to be able to enter it and beat someone who did the task properly (which I am aware I did not...)

That's not fair....you would already have a head start. This is exactly why I didn't want to take part as all you guys HAVE twitter accounts.

As far as I am concerned, I did what was asked. I created an account for the specific reason of taking part in this task

I would enter it as the minimum it will do is put you in the same boat as Viva.

As is my perogative, I may fire someone before the final decision for trying to circumvent the moral boundaries of the task

Twist's put in some effort and done the task. If I was part of this task, I would have created a second account and done it properly.

I haven't looked at Twists account, but if, as I assume Twist would have done, he has done it properly, then he has probably booked himself a place in the final.

Will wait to hear from Nando as well, see where he stands

You are not in the same boat. I was referring to Sod asking whether he could just use his existing account (or did I imagine that?).

You are home and dry atm as far as I am concerned (that's before looking at your account).

Soddy's and Viva's chance will likely come down to what Nando has done

started a v2football account after finding the site didn't have one Not sure if that counts or not

No questions, just two finalists as its the semi final

Think I have both.

Sorry for the short post, but the two finalists are Nando and Twist as neither Sod nor Viva set up new accounts, whilst twist and nando did. Bit of an anticlimax, but let's move on.

Final task up tomorrow, but we need former players to come back to help out. Who is around to help the finalists?
