Ever wondered why the Aviva Premiership is referred to as the 'Jeff'?

I stumbled a reference in a different google search.

its my 9 year old sons guinnea pigs name. the great and good (and lazy at typing) of 606 decided that the aviva premiership was a mouthfull and also another example of the faceless corporate marketing that as infected our beautiful game. so jeff just seemed as good as anything.

I know that that is not the earliest reference as there was a previous discussion as to what to call it as a backlash against the re-branding from the old Guinness Premiership in favour the financial/insurane company back in 2010.

I'm still uncertain as to Jeff's current health, hopefully he's still okay, but if not, I vote for an annual pilgrimage to his place of burial.
