Vermaelen has not been on top form lately and Howedes does seem to be rated on this league so the gap between the CBs is much smaller than that between M'Vila and Alonso. Would need Schwein in such a deal.

I could but I got criticised in the past in the feedback for not playing an out and out DM.

Besides, you'll struggle to find many who rate De Rossi over Martinez. It's pretty obviously Martinez > De Rossi and probably Pedro > Nasri, but that's not by much.
