Random Problem in TNA

I know this is weird but it made sense to me in my sleep deprived state last night.

Does anyone agree that some of Tnas stars would be helped by a change in. . . . Their Entrance Themes??

I know it sounds weird but go with me on this one

Think back to say the attitude Era, if I were to say-
Glass smash
Car crash
guitar screech
Its time to play the game
if yaa smeelll
*Bell tollss*
Now I know you could instantly name the superstar just by that famous big opening, along with many other stars which had the same kind.

Now currently in Tna I can think of Four themes which have this Big *pop* opening
Fourtune- fourtune four etc
Beer money- Beeeerr Moneyyyy
Mr Anderson- Misstteeeerrr
Aj Styles- Get ready to fly

I always feel that the hugely recognisable opening helps garner a much bigger pop etc, and somethimes it seems the Tna fans are waiting to see who it is that comes out, because a number of the themes are so interchangeable

Any thoughts??

I agree on the interchangeable themes. I watch most weeks TNA and sometimes it takes me a while to realise whos music is playing. For casual fans it must be even worse!

RVD has an recognisable intro, but it sucks!

Dont get me started on RVD's I hate that theme, just random words thrown in all over the shop.

I would agree to an extent but would add a couple more to the recognisable ones...

Stings used to be very similar to someones though, might have been Jarretts old theme.

Popes is, but i dont feel it suits him too well

I actually quite like Popes music...I agree though...doesn't really fit the character.

They need to get Jimmy Hart back to rehash songs like he did in the old WCW days.

Samoa Joe would be the biggest star in wrestling if he came out to a butchered version of 'Poker face'.

I don't really see how they can be called Pops. No1 seems to boo or cheer, am i not alone here?

I think the only crowd reactions come from RVD's music and someone like Bischoff.

Would like to see new theme music very few have the impact on thecrowd or get an instant reaction like Austins glass smash and Mick Foleys car crash sound. RVDs music is awful. I like a sound effect before the music you know who it is and are on your feet before the music it helps create a better atmosphere.

And I think the problem with that is the impact zone crowd, when impact was on the road, the wrestler reactions were so much greater and far better defined.

Prettyboy, thats kind of what I was aiming for, it always just grabbed the crowd

Let's not forget where TNA Impact shows are filmed. Would everyone there know who was coming out? Or is there a large portion of the crowd that are tourists on holidays just taking in the show?

Everyone knows the Impact Zone Suck and is one of the biggest things killing TNA, that recent Impact they did out of Orland was amazing, looked so professional and the crowd were hot throughout the night.

I Agree with some of the tunes, especially Van Dam, it sucks hard, people like Ray, Devon, Morgan etc all ahve the same generic heavy riff, Morgans tune is awfull so is Joes

What i don’t get is why TNA don’t find some bands willing to give up one of their tunes for free, for the exposure, bands would be lining up to offer their tunes and riffs and the tunes would be a much higher calibre than alot of the stuff TNA produce.

See one of the problems is that off the top of my head - I can't even think of Morgans music. That shouldn't be the case. You should be able to think of a wrestler and think of their theme. These generic ones don't leave an impression.

That's my problem with about 85% of the TNA roster.

Abyss has a crabby bell thing going on now.

Steiners is still great.

Steiner and Abyss both have great entrance themes for the very reason we have been talking about, both tunes once they kick in are pretty generic heavy riff based forgettable stuff but there is a difference. Steiner’s starts with that air raid siren and Abyss's starts with those violins. Both very identifiable, the tunes themselves are forgettable but as soon as you hear that siren of the violins you know who is coming.

Must be alone here, I actually like RVDs theme tune.
