V2 WWC 2012 Round 1 Group 16

A landslide victory for Sandow in yesterday's group saw him into round 2 along with captain charisma Christian who qualifies in second place.

Next up is the last group of round 1

I went for Zema, he's really improved this year and made a character who uses hair spray as a weapon work!

Show gets an honourable mention. As dies Kaz although the fact Daniels isn't in round two makes it hard to vote for the other member of that great tag team. Van dam is all levels of awful, dragon has done nothing, and Wyatt I haven't really seen.

Big Show did well to make himself relevant again, capped by a top match with Shamoose at HIAC and a World title victory. Bray Wyatt's vignettes were awesome but he unfortunately picked up a serious injury. Zema Ion's done really well but was hampered (much like Austin Aries before him) by a weak X-Division and Rob Van Dam has once again coasted through a year in TNA. I haven't seen any of Dragon this year so couldn't really comment on him.


In the end I've gone for Kazarian as I think he's excelled in his tag team with Christopher Daniels. His in-ring skills were never in question but he's really stepped up to the plate and improved his mic skills.

I just caught Brae Wyatt's promos about a month ago, looks pretty good even if he's a total rip off of Dan Spivvy's Waylon Mercy character back in 95, that said, Spivvy just ripped it from Cape Fear

I think the guy who's had the best year has been Zema, but I'm struggling to vote for him because it felt like he only got that push as a result of his near crippling botch on that TNA kid ages ago, I don't even remember the kids name, that's how relevent to me he is but it still felt like he got a push because of it, as if they wanted to build him for the sole reason the kid could come back and knock him off his perch.

I can't stand RVD, cant believe he was so highly thought of way back in 2010, he was always looked at as a guy who'd be a major coup for WWE to get back, he's unbearable

I like the Big Show, I always have, I don't like him as a face though, he's too weak as a face and as a heel he always seems to be fed to Cena, when he's not being fed to Cena though and is used appropriately he's a great character, his feud with Sheamus has been entertaining for me as I feel he's brought out a better side in Sheamus, an underdog side, although Sheamus is still doing his cheeky chappy routine its not nearly as annoying as it had become so for that Show also needs to take credit, I can't see him holding the title too long but I feel his reign could actually help Sheamus or another next Champion actually make the belt look important

I've got no idea who to vote for in this, none of them are potential semi finalists for me so its just a case of what one do I want to see get knocked out slightly later in the competition

Jesse Sorensen's the guy you're thinking of KF. Totally agree with you about TNA building Zema up just so Sorensen can make the heroic comeback and knock him down a peg or two.

Ahhh yeah that's the one, thanks, although I couldn't remember his name I did wonder if his comeback had hit a snag when Zema dropped the belt to RVD, I thought he'd be the Champ when Sorensen returned

Haven't heard any more updates about Sorensen's health mate, they looked to be building to a title feud what with Jesse saying his goal was to be X-Division champion. Maybe TNA just took the belt off Ion for the mean time until Sorensen's ready to come back. Or maybe he's fallen behind all the great Gut Check talent that TNA has signed like Joey Ryan and.... umm..... Tony Mahoney was it? And the ginger chick.


Then again, with that douche from Big Brother now on the roster maybe TNA don't want too many Jesses running around the (Jefferson) Impact Zone!

I voted for Big Show

As much as i think the guy cant wrestle he has had a better 2012 than the other's stated

Helped put Daniel Bryan over at the start of the year. Went on and FINALLY got his wrestle moment by beating Cody Rhodes. But gave the belt back to him at Extreme Rules. Had the heel turn we all expected when he knocked out John Cena at Over the limit. The idea of Big Show main eventing No Way Out against John Cena with nothing on the line was enough to stop me from buying/watching the ppv. I have enjoyed his feud with Sheamus and they had a cracking match of the year contender at Hell in the cell and i am looking forward to there rematch at Survivor Series.

Credit where credit is due, Big Show deserves to make it into the next round, and that's me saying that who's against WWE!

While it looks like Big Show's got the votes all tied up, I've gone for Kazarian, he's had much better year than the last and having formed a fantastic tag team with Daniels they've put on some great cracking matches with the likes of AJ/Kurt with what I'm sure will be a match of the year contender when they faced of at TNA's Slammiversary.

These guys are a stable name/gimmick away from becoming something huge in the wrestling industry!

So there we have it round 1 is completed and the final two qualifiers into round 2 are The Big Show and Kaz

The draw for round 2 will now commence with Imogen Thomas of big brother/Ryan giggs fame drawing the competitors from pot A and John Virgo from classic 90's family game show big break drawing the competitors from pot B

Yes but instead of Geoff and gab I've recruited arg fro TOWIE and Comedy Dave from the Chris moyles show.

Rushden was next in line... Our first choice was AC slater fom saved by the bell now presenting x factor USA due to his wtestling connections as AC but he turned us down, he said that he wouldn't be associated with a competitor that had another slater in it! So we went to our go to guy, dependable Ben Shepard!
