Of recent times I haven't heard of a louder pop than for CM Punk at the 2011 MITB pay-per-view in Chicago, however all time has to be Bret Hart at the In your house Canadian Stampede event in Calgary in 1997. If you haven't seen in the noise is insane when The Hitman steps from behind the curtain.

Special mention Davey Boy Smith at Summerslam 92, if he hadnt been asking Bret Hart the sound who of been off the chart

When Ric Flair was in Flair Country the crowd let you know, for 20+ years that I was aware I've never heard anyone get such huge ovations so consistantly, they go absolutely nuts for him

Stone Cold in Texas usually got a good hometown pop.

But in recent memory i think CM Punk's at Money in the bank will be hard to beat.

The pop Edge's got in Toronto at Unforgiven in 2006 was pretty epic. It caused him to break character for the start of the match

don't forget the pop sean waltman got when he wrestled in minneapolis during his 123 kid run. oh jeez that was epic. it was like hogan, warrior, macho man, austin, rock and goldberg rolled into one with fairy dust sprinkled on top. why they didn't put the strap on him at that point, i'll never know.
