Dutch Linesman Killed.

What the hell is wrong with some people, what makes this more shocking is that it was during a youth team game and he was attacked by 3 of the players. Absolutely crazy.

At first I wondered if the poor guy had simply collapsed and died after being simply "harassed" by those players due to some sad fact of underlying major health problems. It appears, however, that unbelievably he was punched and kicked to death by an angry mob. These were 15 and 16 year old kids and you can but wonder what on earth they were thinking about when they decided on their horrendous attack.

Words fail you at a time like this. It's only a game at the end of the day and should not be a matter of life and death.

and apparently his son was playing in the game when it happened
