The 2012 Premier League broken down in numbers
Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini, 25, committed the most fouls with 96 with Norwich striker Grant Holt, 31, second on 87.

It'll be a miracle if he keeps QPR up.

If/When they go down they will be in serious financial trouble. How do you get rid of so much crap on ridiculous money?

Think he gave away the most last season! Gives away a lot from goal kicks and punts forward like Fellaini for fouls on defenders

I think Tuesday (8th) should be the first day back in the league for injuries/lawyers and TP's.

Walcott rumoured to be accepting a £90k per week deal to stay at Arsenal.

QPR are owned by a very rich man, Tony Fernandes, so money isn't a problem. After all, he's already wasted tons of it Laugh

Walcott deserves that new deal for the form he's in.

His F1 team is also crap Laugh

Also while I like Walcott, theres no way hes worth 90k a week.

As a standalone figure, I agree. But compared to the rest of the Arsenal squad (the Arshavin's, the Gervinho's and the Giroud's who are probably on that or more) he's definitely worth it.

I think it's good for both teams:

Newcastle
IN: Debuchy on £50k a week + £2m cash
OUT: Ba wanting £100k a week

Chelsea:
IN: Ba on £100k a week + £5m cash
OUT: Sturridge thinking he's worth £100k a week

In addition, Cisse can play his preferred role for Newcastle, and Torres can sit on the bench for Chelsea.

The two losers are Lille and Liverpool. And Albion get to keep Lukaku on loan Euro Division Homepage XLIV 3559488474

Sturridge has always offered potential, but not really proven it yet. Could be a great signing for Liverpool if he fulfils it, but for £12m it's another risky strategy from Rodgers.

Ba has scored a goal every 2 games since he came to the Prem. £7m is a steal for that kind of record.

If you had Sturridge and someone offered Ba + £5m, you'd bite their hands off

Debuchy will be a great signing for Newcastle. Can't believe a bigger club haven't come in for him at that price.

Madness, isn't it? He's far, far, far too good for Newcastle. But then again, me with Tiote, Ben Arfa and Ba in my team, we're quite the Geordie Boyz over at FC No Respek Laugh

Another player far, far too good for his new club. How on earth did they persuade him to sign for them, when they'll be in the Championship next season? Wow.

I think this transfer window is going to be fantastic for deals. I read that because the new £3bn TV deal kicks in this summer, all the clubs are spending their cash now. Means there will be plenty of new faces all over the shop.

That TV deal is why its so crucial for us to stay up this season! When we went down in 04-05 I think we missed the gravy train for the TV deal just been so its crucial we dont this time!

Thing is, it all ends up in the pockets of the players. Until the Premier League brings in a wage cap - say, 50% of turnover - the players will keep getting inflated wages, and the fans will keep paying fortunes to watch them play badly.

I'm always furious when I pay £30, then the squad that's paid £400k for a week's work gets beaten 4-0, with seemingly no effort put in. The powers that be have to change it.

I think a wage cap is used in the Football League or something to that affect is it not?

I should imagine properly run clubs like WBA make sure there wage budget is in line with turnover but a club like QPR's clearly isn't

We're very well-run, but because of that we'll never challenge the big guns. This season so far is the best we could ever dream of.

The Football League does, and it shows. Clubs are showing savvy in the transfer market, and will be well prepared financially if they get promoted to the Prem. I think the days of Pompey-esque collapses are over.

We have a steady rate of wages to turnover, but it is one of the highest out of the clubs who aren't being funded by a billionaire.

We don't pay that high a salary, but we don't generate anywhere near the revenue of others. We have a dated stadium which costs a fortune to maintain and has limited corporate facilities, so until we can move, we are always going to financially constrained

We are now being well run after years of mis management. Next season providing we stay up we will be debt free and we are starting to expand our global appeal with sponsorship deals and partnerships!!

We generate a fair whack on matchdays but our wages our quite low! Holty is on around 25 grand a week and only Bassong eanrs more than that I reckon.

We are in the same sort of boat as a WBA I would say just a year or two behind in terms of development

Laugh

from the BBC...

Newport tweeted: "We can confirm that Jake Thomson has joined Lincoln City on a month's loan."

That promoted the following response from Lincoln's official Twitter account: "Can you therefore get the paperwork signed and sent to us so the move can be completed?"
