The NFL Draft 2011

Hi Chaps,

How many of you guys will be staying up to watch the draft? If quite a few of us will staying up and watching the NFL.com stream, I might be able to organise to have the chatbox up and running so we can discuss the picks and trades. How many of you would be keen for that?

Will probably watch the 2nd round stream (if there is one?) but will be recording and watching the first round with a friend Friday morning.

Roughly how long does the first round usually last?

well it could last around 2 hours 50 mins if the teams take there max allocation, but id imagine itl go quicker than that

I'll definitely be there, cannot wait for it to start. I was expecting just to have a thread but the chatbox would be good too.

Surely if they all take their maximum allocation it could take 5h20, I have to say I'm hoping it doesn't take that long.

Don't be a wimp bambam! Stay for the lot! Mind you, I'll be gutted if my Bucs trade out of the first round altogether...

Happy with the few drafts that have them taking bowers, a risk that could end up being a steal.

Haha I have work in the morning, no bank holiday for retail staff! The second half of the draft is where it gets really interesting normally so may just end up staying for the whole thing

If its lasting 5 hours I won't be around at the end but I'll probably at least watch until the first 10 picks. Bambam if your worried about getting up for work get an early night and set your alarm to get up for just before 1 then go back to sleep.

Normally don't go to bed until about 1 so will easily stretch it out for another hour or so, but yeah thats a good idea

I'm normally the same but its the plan I use for stuff like boxing fights in America, or used for the super bowl last year as I'd been up since 6.

I'll be up for it, all the mock's point towards Newton for the Panthers but I think it's between 4 men. Newton, Dareus, Peterson and AJ Green as the outsider, it's going to be very interesting.

for those who like me like a bet here are some odds on the draft tonight gabbert to go in the first 5 and ingram to be drafted before locker IMO have some good value

I'd take Gabbert by 5, think the Bengals might be tempted.

It would be a mistake in my view but a possibility.

Yeah i'll be about, planning to take a nap get back up and then watch the whole first round as i'm not about for the later rounds.

Awesome job Pr4wn on getting the chatbox up and running... will help to keep me awake during those long 10 minute waits... you'd think the first few picks would sail by, but there always sitting about hoping to trade back!
