I miss ECW. JT Smith got over because of his botches (You F'd up! You F'd up!). Now everyone is very critical of mistakes. These guys have maybe 250-300 matches a year, they're bound to F it up at some point.

I'm not directing this at you btw, just my take on how the average wrestling fan has changed, or at least is different to the old ECW faithful.

yes ecw was fun arguably more fun than impact wrestling or wwe but i just thought it was funny how big show is made to wait for ages for the move to hit

I have no problem with the botch, except it being funny, just they should move on once they screw it up and give some illusion of improvisation

What would've been ideal (easy for me to say, sat here on the computer!), is if Big Show had turned his head to see what had happened, then Del Rio hits kicks the bucket square into Show's face, thus making more of an impact.
To be fair to Del Rio, he recovered quickly!

ADR at EC was not a botch, i would class it as a slip up, kinda like when Orton had to RKO Y2J at a Survivor Series ( 04 I think)

What I consider a botch is when someone gets hurt unexpectedly because of it.

To botch is to do something clumsily. That looked pretty clumsy to me, he looked a bit like an overexcited toddler

I love botch. Botchy botch botch.

It's awesome the way Jessie Godderz is standing there like "Am I supposed to catch him? Am I supposed to duck? I DON'T KNOW WHAT HE WANTS ME TO DO! I know! I'll catch hi~.... uh never mind!" Laugh

I was pretty much behind that jump, Jesse doesnt catch him so it just makes it a suicide dive onto the floor

I winced when I saw that. I also thought it was telling the cameras didn't show the aftermath of that. Do you know if Marty was seriously hurt, or did he just get up and go backstage to get checked out? Hope he's okay 'cause I was quite enjoying his performance up to that point.

From what I saw it looked like Jesse provided a bit of a cushion, though Marty's right arm and head took a bit of a knock against the barrier.

Still, not as bad as Zema Ion's botched moonsault onto Jesse Sorensen... Shocked

Seeing it on Youtube, Jessie is too close to the ring too, Marty goes over him. He stayed down for a long time, but I think thats because they were cutting quite an important promo in regards to the Knockouts storyline. He was back out later and said he wasnt hurt on twitter and facebook. Not sure how, he landed on his head!

I always got the impression there wasn't much inside Marty's head anyway.

Thought he came across as a bit of a tool on British Boot Camp but it's good that he wasn't seriously hurt by that tremendous botch.
