Record: 8-8
Offensive Rank: 21st (Passing: 14th, Rushing: 26th)
Defensive Rank: 1st (Passing: 1st, Rushing: 2nd)

What went well?

When Ben was healthy he was on. Defense was typically stingy and Keenan Lewis had a nice season.

What went well?
Injuries really. Lot of key players missed time. The Steelers were also surprisingly ill disciplined.

Prospects for 2013?
The Steelers need to reload somewhat on defense as they face a cap crunch. Big earners Troy Polamalu and James Harrison are both candidates to be cut given their high salaries and injured/declining play. Watching the Ravens celebrate winning the SB should give them added motivation to reclaim the AFC North.

Projected 2013 Draft Pick?
The Steelers need to get younger and cheaper across the board. Defense could very well be in play, but this is Big Ben's team and with Wallace walking in FA, the Steelers replace him with Cordarelle Patterson

I think one of the big problems for Pittsburgh is their 2012 draft really didn't produce, Spence and DeCastro hit IR, Adams won their ROY only starting 6 games, Rainey has been waived. Though I doubt they'll slip down into the top 10 picks of the draft it will be a couple of seasons before they're back to challenging for the Super Bowl.

Would say their main bright spot was Heath Miller having his best year so far.

I like the Steelers picking Cordarelle Patterson here and then maybe a RB in the second round to bolster their attacking options with Mike Wallace and Rashard Mendelhall probably leaving.

I think Pittsburgh need to use this draft and next years to add some youthful strength.

I can see the Steelers as a possible landing spot for AJ McCarron next year to sit behind Roethlisberger for a year or two.

I still think you wouldn't need to go RB until round 3 or 4 if i'm Pittsburgh.

They need a bit of a revamp and RBs that are functional can be got later.

Redman, Rainey and Dwyer are all serviceable at RB, maybe take one in the late rounds (usually a few good ones knocking about then)

More pressing needs for the Steelers I feel
