Hopkins Vs Cloud, what is the significance of this fight exactly?

I agree with a lot of this.

I think it is amazing that a 48 year old totally outclassed a young unbeaten champion. Hopkins just keeps on getting better.

This is verging on the ridiculus now. I had thought that Cloud might really do a number on him. I think I want hopkins to get smashed prior to any of his recent fights, then watch happily as i'm proven wrong again.

Well done to Hopkins though. He did what he had to do. It's not his fault that Cloud isn't that good.

This is the first time I've seen Hopkins throw four or five punch combinations and try to load up with certain shots. Certainly a very good performance, seemed willing to put more in to this fight than he has for a few others, maybe the bad blood between him and King spurred him on.

Apparently he said he'd be willing to come to the UK and fight Cleverly, I would certainly be lookin to get tickets for that one and with Goldenboy looking to break in to the UK market bringing a HOF fighter over for a unification fight would certainly be a good way to start.
