Disappointed with Hampshire today

On what looked a good wicket they opted to bat first and played with ill discipline only using 30 of the 40 overs which is unacceptable.
McKenzie played a ridiculous reverse sweep at a time when consolidation was sooo important and the run rate at aroound 5 to 6.
The bowlers battled back well getting Surrey to 45 for 5 before then sitting back with 5 on the boundary giving easy singles instead of attacking and putting pressure on. This allowed a 95 run partnership which took Surrey to within 2 of the target.
Cork normally gets it right but today I do not think he did.
Briggs and Jones were the only positives today.
Our batting has now failed in the majority of innings so far this season and really needs to be sorted.

Hi Skimpton - I was listening to much of the Surrey innings on Radio Solent. When they weren't criticising Roy's batting technique they were regularly suggesting that Roy and Spriegel weren't put under enough pressure.
