Can anyone tell me who is the prop who carried the ball the furthest in one play?

Simple enough. I was thinking Genthin Jenkins possibly for that ridiculous try he scored dummying twice? There was an Edinburgh prop who got a good one against Leinster running about 35/40 metres I'd guess.

Surely there have to be some intercepts or something where a prop has run over 60 metres!?!?!

Victor Ubogu used to be a pretty effective ball carrier for Bath - certainly remember him running in a few from a bit of distance.

Martyn Madden would be another possible.

Of course Graham Price had the famous try where he ran almost the length of the field, but he only carried the ball a couple of metres after chasing a kick ahead.

Martyn Madden was a weird one, he was the size of a house, and to be fair not too much fitter than one, yet if he managed to get moving for more than five meters then he was almost impossible to stop.

Marcus Horan could fair shift back in the day, as could Os du Randt. I'm sure those lads have some big carries in there.

Presumably you mean the Oxford v Cambridge one and not Fatt Dunning, which looks exactly like a prop should in attempting to run half the length of the pitch (i.e. that there is an increasingly thick layer of treacle slowing him down every step)

Dummy yeah the thin athletic one I was on about.

Dunning is a legend though, after all how many props have slapped a drop goal over from the ten metre line, and on an angle? Again it is reason for instant expulsion from the front row union.

I remember Darren Morris throwing a crazy dummy against Romania and running into a gap in the 90's that was pretty good skills from a prop.

Bevington scored a great try against Ulster this season.

Prop forwards should not be making cover tackles like that, especially as Hook is no slouch...

It was 1964 and I was at the Arms Park when the All Blacks beat the Barbarians by a big score. The ABs' last try was scored by Wilson Whineray, their captain and loosehead, who ran 25 yards and dummied the fullback to score under the posts. Apparently he peed off Colin Meads - only temporarily - by not giving a scoring pass to him.
